Someone mentioned a cath kidston style store on AliExpress, I ordered and i'm soooo impressed! They look fantastic, even down to the tags so could even use them as gifts. Also came in two weeks!

ChipperNipper · 26/10/2015 12:14

I don't want to be rude but would a thread for you to discuss your local area be better than discussing it on here?

scampbeast · 26/10/2015 12:19

Gumigem have a special offer on toiday selected colours of their skull and cat pendants are £5. I got 2 for £11.95 delivered. They also have a 40% sale link from the homepage.

scampbeast · 26/10/2015 12:20

gumigem.co.uk/shop.html link working in this post.

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 26/10/2015 12:31

Gumigem are fab we love them.

SpottyTeacakes · 26/10/2015 12:37

I think the general consensus has always been that normal chat is fine on the bargain threads. It's what sets us apart from all the other websites Smile

ipanicked · 26/10/2015 12:42

For possibly the most un-Christmassy bargain ever Blush (but still a bargain if you do any long distance train journeys ever with the kids!) Family and Friends Railcards are only £20 instead of £30 until tomorrow here

1122christy · 26/10/2015 12:44

My Minecraft swords from aliexpress arrived today, bought them 13th October. I'm impressed with them a good size and a hard foam, look like the real ones and my 7 and 5 year olds wouldn't know a difference. I paid £5.38 each from seller name road sport.

ihatethecold · 26/10/2015 12:59

I'm also wanting to go to Marks and Spencer for some biscuit offers, if there is any yet?

gruffaloshmuffalo · 26/10/2015 13:19

I dunno of this helps, but the star gift at Boots is number 17 make up box for £20 instead of £40. It's my gift for my 17 year old sister.

houseHuntinginmanchester · 26/10/2015 13:20

yorkie could send a link to the cath kidston stuff on aliexpress please?

WhenASuitcaseJustWontDo · 26/10/2015 13:22

Thanks scampbeast for the gumi link. Will be ordering a few skulls later?

SpikeWithoutASoul · 26/10/2015 13:28

Furchester Hotel playset has dropped to £16.59 on Amazon. Bought it when it was £20 for DD's birthday, and it's really lovely.

TimonAndPumbaa · 26/10/2015 13:37

Thanks for the advice in the tinkerbell dresses, managed to get one for £10 inc delivery so I'm pleased with that Flowers.

How long did it take others to get their mlp hoodies, it feels like aaaages ago i ordered mine, I should probably check the estimated del date actually.

Thanks reastie for another thread. Flowers. I've finished for dd2 and bought every single thing from these threads Grin.

ChipperNipper · 26/10/2015 13:45

I think there is a difference between general chat and a detailed discussion of an area where hardly any of us live.

But feel free to carry on, I just wondered if you wouldn't be happier discussing local building projects amongst yourselves.

FWIW I have a new Aldi going up not far from me. That will be the third one in our town.

Close by is a Lidl and a Morrisons. Asda just up the road and a massive Tesco less than a 10 minute drive. Endless small branches of Tesco, Sainsburys nearby. As well as family bargains, home bargains, b&m, poundand,99p shop etc Very little need for me to go into town.

There has just been planning permisson put in for new retail outlets less than 10 minutes from my door but I hold little hope that they will be anything useful. More likey another car show room.

I popped into Tesco today but didn't buy anything noteworthy. I did buy chcolate coins for 50p a bag in Aldi which I thought was a good price.

God I wouldn't even bore dh with this drivel. But you feel free to carry on Smile

TimonAndPumbaa · 26/10/2015 13:46

Ah just checked and the mlp hoodie should've arrived by 22nd October. Do you think I should contact them or give it a bit longer? Did everyone elses come within the date they said it would or did anyone's go over?

ChipperNipper · 26/10/2015 13:48

And if you think the drivel general chat is what sets this thread apart - you obviously haven't been over to visit the 'huns' recently.

Although some of you have - I can spot your double posts on this board and theirs Wink Grin

TimonAndPumbaa · 26/10/2015 13:50

Aww chipper, don't be a scrooge Xmas Grin.

It was only a little bit of chit chat, I for one didn't mind and over the years have seen others chat between themselves for a little bit on the Christmas threads.

zipzap · 26/10/2015 13:51

I started reading this late last night and got as far as Neeko saying that she was in town looking for RJ and PJday carrying porn bears, thought 'Hmm, a new MN/Christmas thread thing, curious...' and didn't twig for a couple of minutes that it's MN, it would be pombears not pornbears and thus it was probably time to go to sleep and catch up on the thread in the morning...

Slithy I was the one that posted up about the reusable shopping bags.

They're cheapest on ebay.com - if you search on reusable bag, or reusable tote loads will come up. Set the results to display in order of 'lowest price: item+postage' and you'll see them, cheapest first. There are some that are often crazy cheap (1 or 2 cents) that you have to bid on but the times are usually for a few days away so not so good if you want to buy them and be done with. (You can hide these by clicking on the 'Buy it Now' button near the top of the list).

There are quite a few that come in at 75 cents (50p-ish) including plain ones, and ones that fold up to be strawberries, clown fish or roses. If you go up to a dollar, there are loads. I've ordered several and some have come - all have been fine quality-wise - similar to the sort of thing you buy for a couple of pounds in the shops, rather than something you'd pay a tenner for but fine to pad out presents or to stick a handful in your handbag or the car for shopping at the supermarket.

If you do the same search on ebay.co.uk then the same items come up but the cheapest ones tend to be about a pound - so about double the price for the identical thing. Definitely worth going through ebay.com!

ChipperNipper · 26/10/2015 13:58

I love Christmas chat.

Just not so keen on 'ooh Mavis did ya know we're getting a Sainsbo's down t'road'. It's like being amongst the 'huns' but without the tickers.

Surely they can start a 'if you live near me and went to the shops today , what did you buy' thread? I'm sure it will reach 1000 posts Wink

SpottyTeacakes · 26/10/2015 14:01

There's one every year....

Well I got half of my matalan order Confused I'm not impressed it's been eight days since I ordered. I don't like the onesies either I'm going to send them back and go to primark instead.

BeaBoo · 26/10/2015 14:13

Also interested in the CK Aliexpress stuff if someone can link?

BeaBoo · 26/10/2015 14:14

Forgot to ask y0rkie would you mind posting a pic of what you ordered if possible?
