Smurfy £24.99 at Smyths - does 1p under count?!

nickdrakeslovechild · 26/10/2015 20:58

We are all in the same place if there is a new retail park nearby with a pound shop, costa, Aldi and most importantly Smyths opening soon. Also near the retail park with The Range and a little B&M? So lucky with the amount of bargain shops here!

zipzap · 26/10/2015 20:58

There are some cheap Robin scarves for $3 (about £1.80) if you fancy a chiffon-y scarf with robins on to be festive...

(Or you can get them from £2.39 on ebay.co.uk for the same thing)

Bizzledizzle · 26/10/2015 21:01

I've only been away for the weekend and you've finished a thread and are a 3rd of the way through a new one!

I'm after a couple of nice glasses to go with my flaviar gin, I'm going to do a bit of a hamper so any other suggestions would be great too

Saw a charm bracelet advent calendar in new look at the weekend, wasn't particularly bargainly but would make a nice change for a teen

weebarra · 26/10/2015 21:03

I'm an Edinburgh MNetter, well Midlothian really, but that's near enough. I currently have no bargains to offer though.

Reastie · 26/10/2015 21:04

Crikey Moses I miss a day (long story involving dd taking a tumble and ending out in A&E) and what happens! Shock (fx she is fine fwiw).

I'd like like to finish with the exciting news that ohhhhh mn, did you know we're getting a sainsbos down t'road (If you have no idea what this refers to be grateful).

I for one like the chit chat and friendliness of the thread and wouldn't want to change it (unless I was supremely outvoted and would take it for the team). There's bound to be the occasional bit of localised comments. I remember a Couple of years ago finding out I missed a mner from this thread by minutes collecting an order from a local shop to me (we both ordered the same thing and I found out after visiting the shop) and it still to this day tickles me how small the world can be and how mners get everywhere.

Me too! Xmas Grin

I just say Edinburgh so the Englishlanders know roughly where I mean. Wink

Badders123 · 26/10/2015 21:08

I am not scottish.
However, there is a going to be a new pets at home and m&s food opening near me soon.
I am beside myself, frankly Smile

OvOntToSuckYourBlood · 26/10/2015 21:10

KFC, Burger King AND Nandos are opening up near me very soon. I'm a happy fat bunny. Xmas Grin

weebarra · 26/10/2015 21:17

I saw the KFC OvO, but is Nando's going to be in the same place?
How do you get Ali Express to show prices in pounds? I couldn't see how, but might be because I'm on my phone.

whatsonyourplate · 26/10/2015 21:17

I like those scarves zipzap.

I went to Scotland on holiday at easter. Having tried to do a week's shop in a very small coop, no wonder you are all getting excited at big shops Wink

woodwaj · 26/10/2015 21:18

There is nothing opening near me and I'm not Scottish. I feel so alone Grin

obsessed a penny cheaper? Shame on you Wink

AttitcusFinchIsMyFather · 26/10/2015 21:19

Any Minecraft fans, I got the Alex figure set in my local Tesco for £2.25! It was on my sons wishlist, so fair chuffed.

OvOntToSuckYourBlood · 26/10/2015 21:20

Nandos is going in next to Frankie & Bennys.

I can't wait to go on a fast food binge!

Partybugs · 26/10/2015 21:22

Sorry, had to add that I'm not Scottish but we are having a blooming mahoosive John Lewis store in a year's time!! Very very excited!

BeaBoo · 26/10/2015 21:25

I'm in West Yorkshire, on the moors. My DSis lives up in Oban though clutching at straws

Does anyone know where is the cheapest place to buy toddler friendly paint and craft stuff? Not sure what kind of crafty stuff would be best for a just turned 2yo but my DD loves painting and colouring. Ideas welcome Smile

FeelingSmurfy · 26/10/2015 21:26

Organised a saving is a saving Grin thanks for looking!

Ebay has lots of people selling MLP watches (and other characters) for under £2 with free postage. They come boxed and look good from the photos, though I know that doesn't mean much!

Rowboat · 26/10/2015 21:26

Another long time bargain thread lurker coming out of the Midlothian woodwork. There are plenty of us apparently. I love this thread every year, though never seem to have anything useful to post, it always fills me with warm and fuzzy feelings. Please carry on chatting. :)

PoopPoooDeDooo · 26/10/2015 21:27

Oooooh while I remember... MY local Sainsbo Wink is giving a £5 off voucher for the newish Argos which has opened inside (Durham)

BicycleMadeForTwo · 26/10/2015 21:27

Smurfy - Very have it for £29 but you could add other toys/clothes/crap to make the amount up to £60 then use the code 6LJJ6 to get £30 off. You have to set up an account but just pay it off straight away.

Rowboat · 26/10/2015 21:29

Though I feel I must disclose that I am actually a Yorkshire Lass. Been north of the border for half my life so am probably somewhere in between.

cookiefiend · 26/10/2015 21:29

I'm in Edinburgh! What I want is a local wilkos- everyone gets such great bargains from there. Love both bargains and chat- I missed this thread until it got going again.
