The vintage belle skirts are true to size I think. DD is in Y1 and is probably slightly taller than average and the age 5-7 falls below her knees. DD is slender (ribs show front & back) and the skirt stayed up even before I used the waist adjusters to make it tighter. Skirts often just fall down on her so I don't think it would fit an overweight child.

Kacie Baby chips is fine _ hes getting big already :O Have got neonatal clinic next week and we're keeping everything crossed he is discharged from them

MakStout · 26/10/2015 17:53

I know it was aaaaages ago, but if anyone is happy with their MLP hoodie could you link me to the seller? Dd is 4 and thinks MLP is cool, having seen about 15mins of it (we don't have TV). I've got her a MLP skater dress, and I might order one of those back packs linked upthread.

BaBaBaBoomBoom · 26/10/2015 17:54

You need to move Spotty

PontyGirl · 26/10/2015 18:02

Just wanted to say thank you for all the fab bargains posted over the last few threads - xmas shopping almost done! Will be keeping a keen eye out for any bargains I see to post here.

randomcatname · 26/10/2015 18:03

I too am Scottish but all I have is a co-op. Sad

randomcatname · 26/10/2015 18:04

Also - I did a ton of wrapping this afternoon and was amazed how much I've got. All thanks to this thread! Flowers

Iggi999 · 26/10/2015 18:04

Chipper I was feeling a bit sorry for you until I read your anti-Scottish waffle. On a site where most posters come from one city, it can be very nice for people to spot someone more local to them.

ToddlerTantrums · 26/10/2015 18:12

I was getting pretty smug thinking I was almost done.. Then realised it bought only for my DC. Not one other person yet

DansonslaCapucine · 26/10/2015 18:15

I'm just posting to say that I'm Scottish too. Smile

Neeko · 26/10/2015 18:17

No bargains to add.
Just wanted to say sorry for all the tension. Certainly wasn't my intention.

Chipper I too have followed these threads for years and there has always been chat on them. I'm sorry mine has annoyed you and that you seem to not like people from Scotland. I personally hate a Scottish/English divide but we are all entitled to our opinions.
Point taken. No more chat from me. Merry Christmas to you.

niffynoo · 26/10/2015 18:18

ThanksThanks Thatsnotmyhouse and milly

@TobleroneBoo - the Real Techniques make-up brushes are really good. You can get good prices on Amazon and Superdrug often have a buy one, get one half price offer. I have the stippling brush which I use for foundation and also the blusher brush. They are really rated by beauty bloggers etc.. The sets you can get on Amazon aren't quite as good as the individual brushes IMO because they are usually smaller. So might be better to buy the bigger, individual ones. The next one on my list is the expert face brush.

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 26/10/2015 18:22

Jesus, what the hell is the problem with a nice bit of chat on these threads?! If you find it boring, just skip the messages (crazy thought I know Hmm ) and perhaps consider getting over yourself and untwist your knickers

There's always one idiot out to spoil it Hmm

ValiumQueen · 26/10/2015 18:31

I posted about the CK stuff on Ali. I am glad I was finally able to contribute something Smile I bought the purse and keyring. They are either genuine or amazingly good fakes.

I live on a Remote Scottish Island and we only have a Tesco and a couple of Co-ops.

I miss shops, but Aliexpress helps Grin

Tiredoftiredness · 26/10/2015 18:34

Just a heads up to check your post - Charles trywhitt have been kind enough to send me a £20 no minimum spend voucher. Considering that last year I think I bought a £11 shirt (reduced from ridiculous money!) with a £10 voucher I think it's very kind of them!

Off to look for a freebie now...

MrsBungle · 26/10/2015 18:35

It is shop building central round my way. Just had an m and s food and a b and m home store open recently. New Aldi and smyths toy store due to open next week! I like the chat.

BeaBoo · 26/10/2015 18:39

Ooh Valium thank you for posting the link in the first place. I was torn between the purse and the cross body bag but my DM is really fussy about purses. I am really impressed by the photos posted up thread.

SpottyTheDogWink · 26/10/2015 18:45

MakStout - Where did you buy the MLP skater dress?

Anyone else seen any cool MLP clothing? Not risking Aliexpress this close to xmas though because of previous sizing issues

woodwaj · 26/10/2015 18:45

neeko I hope you do continue to chat! Its nice to see even if it means nothing to me. No harm is being done at all!! Cake

randomcatname · 26/10/2015 18:45

Quite a few of us Scots on the bargain thread. Who'd have thought it? Grin

Organisednotobsessed · 26/10/2015 18:47

Wlv12 thanks for the George 20% off Kids tip. Got a red stripe dressing gown for DS and some rather snazzy tights for DD. I'll pick them up from our huge local ASDA. Smile
