Presents for 5 year old boys

M&S had some superhero t shirts down to £3-5 (Batman, Spider-Man, superman and a Star Wars one)
If not already into it, anything "Star wars" will be deemed cool once the new film comes out (I have been advised of this by my friends' 8 year old Ds)
Lego Ninjago stuff is "cool" but so is Lego City and there are often some offers in Sainsburies or Amazon (or 342 in Argos or Boots)

Ds1 is 5 in a few weeks and his 2 bff's turn 5 this week so mind has been focussed!

This remote control robot from Amazon at £16 in other sellers is above Timon & OHF's budgets but it's had seal of approval from 2 5 year olds so far this month (we have done some grouped presents for friends children - don't pay that much individually!)

It's really loud and annoying but sings, moves and fires discs basically a dream toy for a small boy

FlopIsMyParentingGuru · 13/10/2015 17:27

Not an offer but House of Fraser have an advent calendar from what looks like a lego compatible manufacturer.
Christmas themed and only £7.50.

FireflyGirl · 13/10/2015 17:38

Flash Sale at ToysRUs. They still have 3-4-2 on some toys included in the sale, so potentially very bargainous Xmas Grin

happsymum · 13/10/2015 17:40

chocolateteabag that robot looks brill! In basket waiting till end of month payday been told not allowed shopping more bargains till after holiday on the 21st . It's so dull!! :(

ihatethecold · 13/10/2015 17:40

I looked in tesco for the Lindt advent calendar but it was £10, not a bargain unfortunately.
Maybe I misread the earlier post about them being on offer.

Reastie · 13/10/2015 17:47

Balsam Hill have so amazing christmas trees reduced until midnight tonight. I ordered the Vermont White spruce for £279 down from £399. Still expensive but has great reviews and will pay for itself after a few years given the ridiculous price of a Norway spruce these days I've always been adamant i'd be a real tree only kind of girl but the last few years the prices have rocketed and ours have looks limp and lifeless by Christmas and we only put the up on the 15th Dec Xmas Angry

ArthurChristmas · 13/10/2015 18:01

Not sure if this is of use to anyone, BAM have 15% off and a free pair of bamboo socks with code CT5D. they do sports and leisure wear all made from bamboo.

ChipperNipper · 13/10/2015 18:13

Highfivethatfart - Is that an Australian site as everything is coming up in Australia dollars. I did change it into £'s but was just wondering about P&P costs. I would have looked but couldn't get anything to load properly - including the images of the products which was frustrating.

Shame as I would have liked personalised decorations for the tree.

TheSkyIsAwake · 13/10/2015 18:32

Place marking. Trying to use the new app and it's all confusing and shit

Gracey79 · 13/10/2015 18:39

Sorry if already been posted code for the works todayten, can't be used on the ten for ten books unfortunately

Aliexpress Update:

Mixed stickers 10 packs of stickers for £1.23. I got things I knew and things I didn't know. Very pleased, would order again.

Air dry clay meant to be like Jumping Clay. I wasn't that impressed. This clay was much more moist and so it was a little less easy to work with. You did get a good amount and the colours are accurate. I would order this again if DD wanted some air dry clay because Jumping Clay is an obscene amount for what you get. 1 20g bag (about the size of a large egg) for £1.06.

Tiny grater is freaking adorable and works as a proper grater. I love mine. I use it for topping soup/pasta with cheese. £.38 is a total bargain and I would definitely order again.

Marvel Squinkies were definitely real Squinkies, the only thing is you don't get the little squinkie balls, but my DD is not fussed with the balls. £3.33 for 15.

Mini tiny paper punch I got the snowflake design, it was tiny and I was expecting bigger, however it doesn't matter because it's very adorable and will be easy for DD to use as it's very small. £.59.

Gorgeous Rainbow Dress this is a proper The Children's Place dress, it even had it's price tag on $39.95. It is so gorgeous, it does seem like it would be a little big, so bear that in mind. I paid £7.54 for the 4T on (the actual size on the label is XS) I would buy this dress again, thinking of buying it in the next size up as well.

Credit card folding knife got this for DH, it seems a bit cheap, but then again was only £.63.

Sunglasses for kids got these for DD they seem like they might be a bit big on her, she is a small 3 year old. £.77 and they seem sturdy.

Squinkie's Now this isn't the original thing I ordered, but it is a link to the same seller. I ordered 20 pcs with no containers. The ones I was sent were genuine Squinkie's and they were good quality. I think I might order the ones I linked though and see how that goes.

Sunglasses with bows these had some slight imperfections on the paint and I don't think there will be any UV protection on them, but they are very cute and DD will love them. These sunglasses are smaller than the others and probably meant to be for baby/toddler's rather than children. £.82

Christmas slap bracelets cheap, cheerful at £.42 each they are adorable stocking fillers.

Painter's palette exactly as the picture shows £.76 got to go with the many art supplies I'm getting for DD.

Will update again when I receive more, I'm glad people find my posts useful.

NotSayingImBatman · 13/10/2015 19:00

Just nipped into sainsburys for milk and they had Toot Toot jungle friends half price for £3.25. They had elephants, monkeys and tigers and the shelf was jam packed so plenty of stock.

margaritasbythesea · 13/10/2015 19:03

30% off at Brantano atm. Code on homepage. There is lots of frozen and minions stuff and a few small beanie boos. free click and collect.

ipswichwitch · 13/10/2015 19:24

Just bought myself a pair of boots for the supremely bargainous price of £9.50 from Just Fab. If you register you get 75% off your first item purchased, but beware, you only have a 2 hour window to complete the purchase! Delivery is £3.99, so not as bargainous but I'm not complaining since the boots were so cheap :)
They sell all manner of shoes, boots, bags and clothing so worth a look.

ColeslawSandwich · 13/10/2015 19:32

Just beware with Just Fab, by signing up to the site you agree to them taking £35 per month which they hold in credit for you. You can "skip a month" in the first few days of each month but it's a PITA to try to remember that or to cancel the so-called subscription.

BicycleMadeForTwo · 13/10/2015 19:47

Thanks coleslaw, I've been thinking about ordering with them but didn't realise that.

Lolly12 · 13/10/2015 19:59

Love your posts itsonly I'm definitely ordering a couple of mini graters for stocking fillers as my kids love helping with this and I can just give them a lump of cheese with their pasta Grin.

I was in Aldi today and they had kids umbrellas for £2.99. Got a Star Wars one and frozen one. They also had Barbie and Spider-Man.

Also got some lovely Boden-like tights from there, sized from baby to 4 years. Two pack for I think £2.49 (might have been £3.49) can't find receipt.

Kat3L · 13/10/2015 20:04

Hide, I got that beauty advent calendar in Superdrug at the weekend for my 12 year old, she said it looked good. We'd previously looked at the £5 Wilkinson's one but she wasn't so keen though think it may have suited a slightly younger child.

Neeko · 13/10/2015 20:14

Got a £10 Boden voucher today feel like part of the gang now so managed to get my DD a pair of leggings for £2 delivered. Result!
