Lucy - IKEA does some cheap large frames about that size for around £6 I think.

lambfam · 06/10/2015 20:23

Just had an email from Best Years - www.bestyears.co.uk - they have £10 off some crochet animal toys and apparently are going to have different offers on every couple of weeks in run up to Xmas so may be worth registering.
I bought my nephew a knitted dinosaur from them last year and it is has become his constant friend and companion. Wondering if we should get a 2nd one in case it goes missing - could be a disaster!

Maiyakat · 06/10/2015 20:30

Disney Store has buy one get one free on selected DVDs and Blurays - got Sleeping Beauty and Snow White for £9.99!

lazzaroo · 06/10/2015 20:55

Disney DVD's are also buy one get one free on Zavvi, and standard delivery is free.

ScarlettDarling · 06/10/2015 21:09

Has anyone managed to use the Hawkins Bazaar code 'ACORNTEN' for 10% off? It should still be valid as its emblazoned all over the page when I go to look at my basket, but whenever I input it, it just says it's invalid. I refuse to buy my basket full of stuff without my 10%off!

SideOrderofChips · 06/10/2015 21:10

Spoken like a true bargain hunter Scarlett

Thanks for the tips folks-dc have recently started playing with playmobil again (nearly 6 & 2) so thinking of a joint big playmobil pressie now, any big recs appreciated. Lambfan- that site is full of lovely stuff, I want to get a crochet doll for dd but can't see what is £10 off. Will have a rummage but love the humpty dumpy too. Am also getting the Melissa & Doug advent calendar-you can't have too many right?!

Tiredoftiredness · 06/10/2015 21:25

Speaking of ikea - does anyone know when they usually get their Christmas stuff in please? Hoping to make my annual trip for yummy Christmas food and cute decorations before I get too pregnant to bother!

Binglet · 06/10/2015 21:28

Lamb and evelyn crochet toys are really easy to make if your in any way crafty. I learnt last year from watching vids on YouTube. Made a giraffe and a dragon using pound shop wool. Cost me about £5 all together with wool and stuffing (which I still have 3/4 of a bag left). I often wonder about making them to sell.

TheOddity · 06/10/2015 21:30

I'm sure I read on the Christmas thread about when Christmas stuff arrives that the Ikea stuff is in. I think there were photos someone had taken too. Maybe an earlier one of these threads??

wigglesrock · 06/10/2015 21:33

tiredoftiredness last year IKEAs wrapping paper, decorations etc were in around Halloween. I was there picking up stuff for a birthday party and came away with a lot more than I popped in for. I picked up a few packs of Christmas themed gift bags - they were like paper treat bags - weren't dear and were the hit of last year. Everyone that got one commented on them, especially good for smaller, fiddly, hard to wrap stuff. I used them for all of my 3 kids teacher presents. I'm not a natural wrapper Blush

PamelaEwing · 06/10/2015 21:40

tired I was at IKEA today and they were just putting Christmas lights and decorations out AND I SAW THE RED GOATS!!! They also had the gingerbread houses, hanging gingerbread biscuits and gingerbread slotting 3D trees to decorate.

I think this is the matalan code G6C8M22

It's 20% off minimum spend £30. Doesn't include sale

Macey78 · 06/10/2015 21:51

Hope it's ok to mark my place.

lambfam · 06/10/2015 21:56

evelynj - just checked and it is tiger, otter, gecko and elephant - they are usually £24 and now £14. I agree, they are lovely. I love the cowboy & mermaid dolls. Binglet - maybe when I am retired and have time on my hands I may learn to crochet - but if I set out to learn now, I would be lucky to be able to have a gift ready by Christmas 2017 judging by past history. I bought a knitting magazine which included patterns, wool, knitting needles, etc and managed one arm of a teddy - that was about 5 years ago and it is still in the bag. One day ....

mrslebon · 06/10/2015 22:02

Hi, new to this thread but used last year's and it was fab!

So this Molton Brown code. Can someone advise me on the best way to max out/get the most out of the £15 off a £30 spend please? Would it the shower gel baubles?

And something to share...code for additional 20% off Boden sales prices plus free delivery and returns: A2G2. Act quickly if you want to use this as it might get pulled. I've just used it and sorted all of my Christmas presents for kids I know, plus my DS and upcoming birthdays. Yay!

Partybugs · 06/10/2015 22:02

EvelynJ.. I've just ordered the Playmobil Church Wedding for my kids.. Looks really lovely.

cookiefiend · 06/10/2015 22:03
