On HDUK there is a code stack working for BHS. They currently have a sale on and it includes most things in that (not furniture I think) as well as full priced stuff like Christmas decorations and bedding.

So put what you like in your basket and add code VCUKVIP25 for 25% off and then add another code VCUKEXTRA10 for a further 10% off and I think 9% cashback if you go through quidco.

LovelyWeatherForDucks · 08/10/2015 09:03

Dilly - I've just ordered a set of 6 paw patrol figures from Ali Express for £3ish, I'll report back!

mrslebon · 08/10/2015 09:28

Code for 20% off at Joules: HELLO20, valid until 30th October.

1122christy · 08/10/2015 09:32

The second code for BHS doesn't work any more, just the 25% off x

LeBoob I always get annuals in Asda, they usually do a 3 for £10 promotion a bit nearer to Christmas

EustaciaVye · 08/10/2015 09:37

MooseyMoo we have a purple version of that fair book. it is beautiful. I cant decide whether to give it to dd2 (9) who believes or dd1 (11) who doesnt but would appreciate its beauty more Grin

Amazon are being naughty - they keep reducing the lego advent calendars and then putting the prices up by the time I go to look. Its very mean of them.

Ideas for nearly 12 year old welcome. She has asked for phone, hairdryer and vouchers for new look and costa coffee. We are getting a cheapo first phone but they arent very 'exciting' gifts for the day....

MissRainbowBrite · 08/10/2015 09:40

LeBoob try Home Bargains for annuals, they usually have a decent selection but you have to grab them when you see them, they may work out cheaper than a 3 for 2. Ours has a stand with them all on and new ones coming in every few days.

IamAgamemnon · 08/10/2015 09:53

Not a bargain as such but if you sign up to Amazon Prime for their free 30 day trial you can also try out their Amazon Prime Now and get £10 off your first order over £30. Link here
It isn't available everywhere yet but worth checking outSmile

Reastie I'm sure I saw Kristoff costumes in Sainsburys

Groupon Christmas toilet roll is back!! £9.99 for 27 festive rolls :)

zipzap · 08/10/2015 11:20

scrappydappydoo how about these organiser bags for about £1.80...
organiser sponge bags with loads of pockets and places

I have several and one year gave them as presents for everybody - either as part of a bigger gift for people like my dsis and mum who I knew would like them or I have a load of cousins and teachers and so on that I needed something (non-alcoholic!) for so was able to add a nice nail file and a packet of tissues (fancy ones from Home Bargains that looked like £50 notes but cost 29p!). They all went down really well and I know that many of them are still in use and in good condition several years down the line. Also as there are loads of different colours it meant I could give everybody the same thing but in different colours so they all had something a bit different at the same time.

They'd also be great to use instead of a hamper if people are making up their own collections of toiletries and make up because they'd be useful rather than a box that gets thrown away!

IsaJess · 08/10/2015 11:37

Looking for unicorns!!

DD2 (4 on 23rd Dec - bad timing, I know ;-)!!) is obsessed with unicorns and I'm looking for ideas of unicorn-themed presents for her birthday and Christmas...

So far (inc. extended family) she'll be getting:
My Little Pony castle + a couple of ponies (unicorn ones!)
A soft toy unicorn
A dress with unicorn print
Playmobil unicorns/fairies (to go with the playmobil unicorn castle she got last year)
My Little pony play-doh

Anyone got any more unicorn ideas please?? Big gifts to stocking fillers, we'd be grateful for any and all suggestions.
Thank you

SpottyTeacakes · 08/10/2015 11:44

I saw the molton brown baubles in John Lewis today and they look perfect for teachers gifts. I'm pleased I got them. Loved looking a talk the Christmas decorations! Resisted them all those as none were a bargain...

TimonAndPumbaa · 08/10/2015 11:56

LittleMouseWithCloggsOn, thank you so much for the disney code, my dc had so much in their lists from the disney store, also have dd2's birthday coming up and nieces and nephews to buy for so you've saved me a fortune!! Hopefully I can pay it forward as I made an account with a November birthday so fingers crossed I'll get my own birthday code I can give away here when the time comes. Flowers

Isa, I also have two unicorn obsessed dds (and my youngest will be 4 on 24th December so I feel your pain!!).

I'm not getting a lot of unicorn stuff this year as they already have loooaaadds!! But I'll have a think about what they have and let you know. One thing I remember going down really well last year was a 'blue nose friend' unicorn, I'll see if I can find a link to it. I got a good price for it on this thread last year, there was a deal from rakuten, something like £5 off with no minimum spend, the unicorn was £8 so i had it for £3 (with free postage too!). Unless rakuten do the same deal again I doubt you'll get it as cheap but I remember seeing them in tesco and you could use your clubcard points if you have any? It's a lovely toy, really soft. Hang on and I'll find a link.

TheOddity · 08/10/2015 12:05

IsaJess Etsy have some really nice unicorn themed clothes that are not too expensive.

How about this hoody for £13.50?
https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/120909574/childrens-unicorn-hoodie-t-shirt-girls-t?gaorder=mosttrelevant&gasearchhtype=all&gaviewwtype=gallery&gasearchhquery=unicorn&ref=srgalleryy_21

Or this skirt for £15?

There's postage too to add, but they seem unusual things to buy.

Also the ever popular Playmobil:

I guess you have this book?

Can you tell I have a boy?!

wigglesrock · 08/10/2015 12:07

IsaJess H&M has quite a lot of unicorn/my little pony stuff in. Recently I've got dd2 gloves, hair bobbles, hair clips, socks etc from there. They also do a unicorn inspired hat/costume thing. It's like a trapper hat but with a horn on the top [childish snigger], it's white and I think the horn is rainbow. You can get unicorn stickers, pencils, stationery, etc on Amazon. I have the joy of 2 unicorn enthralled dds and have picked up party bag stuff from Amazon quite cheaply.

zipzap · 08/10/2015 12:10

Scrappydappydoo Otherwise, these are similar sorts of things but either separate bags or different sizes...

set of two simple bags £1.56

shoe bag £1.56

different organiser

more spongebag like but can hang up which might be useful £2.30

A roll up version

and if you want something different - just do a search in ebay or amazon for organiser bag/organiser pouch/organiser travel/ etc and there are lots of different (and getting increasingly expensive!) options...

TimonAndPumbaa · 08/10/2015 12:12

isa, thought of a couple more. Twilight Sparkle from build a bear? I've bought the dds one each this year for Christmas, I was really lucky and got them on the 2 for £21 (plus postage) that's linked in the op. The toy is about £20 on its own so you could get one for her bday and one for xmas (not sure if they di any other unicorns though). The link to the offer is in the op.

Also the mlp hoodie from ebay. Can't link as last time I linked to ebay on here I linked to my actual account Blush. Maybe someone else knows how to link to the hoodie?

Try pumpkin patch, got some lovely unicorn jewellery there in the sale last year and I know they've got a sale on at the moment. Rry Claire's for my little pony jewellery/hair accessories etc.

IAmAPaleontologist · 08/10/2015 12:13

Isa my dad, also a 23rd December birthday adores her Schleich unicorns and Pegasus, nice size for stockings too. She has a nice cuddly unicorn that came with a name a star thing for something a little bit special, shall have to see if I can find it to link.

EnglishRose1320 · 08/10/2015 12:14

IsaJess not a massive bargain but Debenhams have some unicorn pj's about £12 I thinl, depends on which size.
