Thanks scary that looks perfect! John Lewis means hopefully it's pretty good quality as well

NoManJan www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Victorinox-Swiss-Card-Translucent-Red-Blister-Pack-/351495395246?hash=item51d6c217ae

I like the one with scissors but the latest design has a screwdriver instead.

Iggi999 · 29/09/2015 20:59

Chocolateteabag I haven't seen the Toot Toot race one you mention in the flesh but looking online I don't think it's worth it. Last year I bought the safari park, which I see argos have at £42.99, I got it from Smyth's for £22. Definitely worth that, but I don't think worth full price - and it seems more playable with than the raceway.

Scarydinosaurs · 29/09/2015 21:16

pipers that's what I'm hoping! I already have stickers and little books to go in them, but today I also bought a bouncy ball and bath toys. I'm going to pound land to get glow sticks and chocolates for them, too!

Romcom · 29/09/2015 21:37

Can anyone give me the lowdown on playmobil? I see it mentioned all the time on this thread. Would a 4 year old who likes Thomas take n play like that sort of thing? Thanks ??

cofemum · 29/09/2015 21:40

Yay first time linking worked Smile

RosieBdy · 29/09/2015 21:44

Congratulations Chips!
I saw this on HUKD and ordered 2...
Book people, Haynes manual of the Death Star
here for £3.99 instead of £16.99
They also have the Haynes manual for the millennium falcon... What more could a Star Wars fan want?!

RumAppleGinger · 29/09/2015 22:08

Don't have anyone to buy for that would appreciate this but contained in the MSE email is a living social deal to these Ralph Lauren jumpers. Add the code RALPH15 at the checkout for a further 15% off so including postage you can get it for under £33.

SitsOnFence · 29/09/2015 22:24

Ordered my chalk pens (£2) which should go nicely with this chalkboard on a roll that I picked up for the bargain price of £2.45 earlier this year. Not strictly Christmas purchases, but will be great for DD's new bedroom when I have finished painting it

I've also ordered this Trix Tracks wooden junior marble run for £8.75 (look under other sellers to get this price, delivery when back in stock) and this one for £10.94. Ignore the RRPs as the prices regularly drop quite low and they are quite cheap in Argos too, but still look like a good buy. I was very tempted to splash out on one of the lovely Quadrilla ones, but didn't think 5 yo DD will be able to build them independently yet (she hates asking for help).

Congratulations Chips, and Flowers for posting a lovely squishy baby photo.

SitsOnFence · 29/09/2015 22:29

Almost forgot, Flowers to Organisednotobssessed for the minecraft tshirt link

deepblue · 29/09/2015 23:01

Thanks for the dotcom link. Ordered some plastic popcorn tubs, and sandcastle flags for tricky DHs stocking :)

Wondering if anyone has seen any good deals on a very large tractor for my 18mo? He saw this one in the shop and loved it but not sure if it's even any good nor if it's well priced. www.elc.co.uk/John-Deere-Tractor/142064,default,pd.html

Chocolateteabag · 29/09/2015 23:20

Hi Deepblue - that tractor looks ok - my DCs have similar which are regularly played with. For tractor toys I find the farming supply shops are often the best place to look - they stock the Bruder and Sika toys as well as Tractor Ted stuff.

dS2 loves this ATV - it was a first birthday present and he has played with it from 15mo to 22mo (now) and DS1 (4.5) likes it too.

ride on atv

Chocolateteabag · 29/09/2015 23:25

Ooh also DS2 has has this ride on tractor since last Christmas and still used a lot. Went on to see if it was still £30 and it's now £25 - you have to assemble it but I managed it (really not hard) DS2 wanted to ride on his big brothers ride on but his legs are still too short. This one has bridged the gap and it is really nice

kavv0809 · 29/09/2015 23:42

Brilliant, thanks for the AliExpress advice, and congratulations Chips!

happsymum · 30/09/2015 04:31

Any shopkins deals out there please shout . Thank you! Flowers

Iggi999 · 30/09/2015 06:30

Romcom - yes, 4 is a good age for playmobil. Why not try a very small pack first, just to gauge interest? before buying a full £100 castle

butmumineedit · 30/09/2015 06:57

Piper

Lands end do fab stockings www.landsend.co.uk/Search?q=STOCKINGS, got mine 10 yrs ago and still look brand new and they can be personalised

EnglishRose1320 · 30/09/2015 07:10

Happsymum I haven't seen any shopkins sets on offer yet but argos do have the annual for half price and they also have a shopkins scooter with a few pounds off. I'm hoping to find a good shopkins offer as well.

EnglishRose1320 · 30/09/2015 07:12

RomCom my boys got into playmobil around 3/4 ish and my eldest at 10 still plays with it, started with things like police/fireman and the farm sets and have now moved on to the spy and agents ranges.

dontstopmenow · 30/09/2015 07:32

Just popping in to say that the Playmobil dragon advent calendar is £9.96 at the moment on Amazon. I'm really sorry I can't do the link!

d270r0 · 30/09/2015 07:38

I think these will make great presents for 4-6 year olds- wuggle pets, soft toys that kids stuff themselves. Heavily reduced on amazon for £7.99 + £1.99 postage as they're not from amazon directly. You get 4 for that price (1 big set of 2 toys inc. the stuffing machine and 2 small sets of 1 toy each) BUT the reviews say you don't need the machine included in the big pack to make them so you can give the smaller sets out as seperate gifts. I just ordered 2 sets and will separate them.

MarvellousCake · 30/09/2015 07:46

With playmobil - can I just jump in to say it's worth checking the official playmobil site too. The price is often (much) lower than the advertised RRP on Amazon - so check exactly how bargainous it is before buying.
