Hello all,

Hopefully the second message on the thread will contain a list of potentially useful links. I haven't checked through all of last years useful links so if I've missed any good ones please let me know and I'll amend.

I'll do my best to keep it updated with each new thread.

DD was watching some kind of Disney Christmas cartoon this morning so I'm feeling rather festive today :)

Which Liberty wire signs?

Hangingbasket14 · 17/09/2015 22:03

I thinking of getting a Statbucks/Costa/Nero gift card for each of DD's nursery teachers, does anyone know if any offers are around?. I recall Groupon did a Starbucks £5 for a £10 card offer but it's expired Thanks!

liquidrevolution · 17/09/2015 22:06

My local sainsburys had craft sets for sale, most were £1.50 or lower. I bought a build your own pirate ship (its a foam one) for my dads stocking but they also had make your own owl bags, princess tiaras and a few other sets in the range. They are good sized boxes so a respectable size when wrapped as emergency low cost gifts.

Also they have pens and notepads etc half price which make good stocking fillers. I got a set of floral themed notepads, pens and sticky notes for £2.50.

They also had really reduced paper tableware and napkins (these were 60p) in red which would be fab for a christmas party.

Chocolateteabag · 17/09/2015 22:07

these ones from Notonthehighstreet - I posted them as an idea for NoManFran for her DD - very pretty but no bargain unless there is a NOTH voucher code which seem to be quite rare.

Chocolateteabag · 17/09/2015 22:09

Sorry - that is the Liberty fabric wrapped wire names for snowgirl

Joycey29 · 17/09/2015 22:17

oh this thread is moving fast now we are in september! i love shopping early but no matter how early i start i'm still left with the same awkward 5 blokes in the family to buy for at the end!

happsymum · 18/09/2015 01:10

Silly silly blokes. I know I'll be stuck for mine again this year! Confused

MooseyMoo · 18/09/2015 06:34

Molton Brown have free delivery this weekend (auto added). Spend £35 and get a free 100ml, £60 pound for x2 100ml and a 7 piece travel if you spend £70. Codes here

Trumpton · 18/09/2015 06:39

I am getting the awkward male family members a Swiss Army Card.

www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Victorinox-Swiss-Card-Multi-Function-Swisscard-Tool-various-colours-/201052123235?var=500243040006&hash=item2ecfa3f063

Some of the new ones come with a mini screwdriver but I prefer the ones with little scissors.

DH travels with one in his wallet and it passes all airport security .

BOOK PEOPLE - Diary of a Wimpy Kid collection of 9 books for £9.99 now back in stock!

I signed up last week for an email alert so that I would be notified as soon as these became available again, but BP didn't send such an email ... Just glad i've been keeping my eyes peeled for them. BP said they'd have them back in stock mid-September, so there you are, just in case anybody else was waiting for these coming back.

Thank you for the STARSAVING code upthread. I was able to get 15% off most of the items I've just ordered. Didn't work on a junior dictionary though.

The FUNREADS 15% code in the OP is no longer working

With the discount, here's what I just ordered for my 7yo (will be keeping some by for her birthday, which is a few weeks after Christmas):

*Diary of a Wimpy Kid 9 book collection £8.49

*Rescue Princesses set x 10 £8.49

*Barry Loser x 6 £6.79

*Roald Dahl Audio Collection in Tin £17.00

*Spell Sisters x 8 £6.79

*Lift the Flap Times Tables Book £3.39

*Oxford Junior Dictionary £8.79

Free delivery since my order was over £25, too. Very happy! But standard delivery is 5-7 days.

GerrardWinstanley · 18/09/2015 07:47

In a similair vein to the Swisscard, my DH has loved his Wallet ninja.Keeping one in mind for a secret Santa if it drops to a fiver

scrappydappydoo · 18/09/2015 08:41

trumpton Those look great but I'm curious how that gets through airport security. Does he just have it in his wallet or does he put it in the clear bag? Not picking on you just bitter cos I had tweezers confiscated earlier this year Wink

Trumpton · 18/09/2015 09:05

Print the chart out and carry it with you.
Mind you won't stop the arses taking it if they want to !

Lovely book with toys of Julia Donaldson's Day Monkey, Night Monkey £5.00 on Amazon.

Hope everything went okay Chips Flowers

FireflyGirl · 18/09/2015 11:11

More birthday than Christmas, but Craft Party Box £2.06, usually £19.99 apparently. For this price, go down to other sellers, and it's an add on item with Amazon. Looks well worth the money if you've a group of youngish girls to entertain!

Jessica78 · 18/09/2015 12:01

Thanks to MooseyMoo - just had a Molten Brown spend up (with some free things for me!)

Smuggle advent calendar available to purchase online: www.smiggle.co.uk/shop/en/smiggleuk/shopby/new-arrivals/advent-calendar-xmas-2015?&utm_medium=Email&utm_campaign=SM150918_Advent_UK&utm_source=header2&cm_mmc=Email--SM150918_Advent_UK--header2-_-NA

Not sure if discount codes work with it, but don't see why not!
