Hope so. Trouble is if they don't come on Monday - I am then at work rest of week. I have to nip out and get DD from school between 3:05 and 3:45, so hoping they don't turn up during that time!

charliecat · 28/11/2006 20:50

I was waiting in ALL DAY today and I couldnt leave because I had the 2 couriers coming for 2 sets of parcels and I didnt want to leave them out the back just in case the wrong bloke took the wrong lot.
But now 1 lots gone I will leave a note on the door and the parcels out the back and hopefully they will go tommorow.

OP posts:
hulababy · 28/11/2006 20:51

Ah yes, could do that. Could leave it in DD's playhouse in back garden - and leave a note on door in an envelope for them.

charliecat · 28/11/2006 20:58

Means you dont have to stay in all day. I get itchy feet when I have to stay in!

Thanks for this thread. The £3.99 offer has gone but they're still doing £5.99 deliveries so I've paid £12 for 2 parcels instead of £25 at the Post office - hoorah.

charliecat · 29/11/2006 11:36

im a bit concerned re 3.99 guy

booked a collection for next tuesday but still havent heard anything back - keep thinking ive wasted 4 quid now, and am even more worried now i have read feedback!

charliecat · 29/11/2006 11:57

You will get a confiration email from parcel force, possibly the day before? I didnt specify a date and mine came through right away. Collected 3 hours later.

ProfYaffle · 29/11/2006 11:57

I got an e-mail sraight back when I booked mine this morning. Didn't see £3.99 when I was on there, hey ho, at least I didn't go to the po.

ProfYaffle · 29/11/2006 11:58

Mine's for Tuesday as well btw.

muffintop · 30/11/2006 16:23

I booked with these on Tuesday and asked if it could be picked up today (Thursday) after 12 and the guy has just come and picked it up so hopefully it should reach the receiver shortly. Great service so far am pleased and all for £3.99.

Gingerbear · 30/11/2006 16:53

I booked with the ebay seller at £3.99 that charliecat mentioned. Bought on ebay late on 28th, picked up late afternoon on 29th, delivered by parcelforce today.

No complaints here.

munz · 30/11/2006 20:17

will they re deliver another day which is suitable for the person reciving the parcel or will you be charged the £3.99 again?

Gingerbear · 30/11/2006 20:41

No additional charge, but the person must pick up from a depot.

MarsLady · 30/11/2006 20:43

Well I bought mine. Sent him an email asking for a Tuesday pick up. Haven't had anything back yet, but if you send it he will come! So not worried. Sure it will be brilliant.

munz · 01/12/2006 09:34

thanks guys right so I get this right before paying for it, I have 3 parcels to send to differnt people, he's said I can do them all on one order but I need to put 3 lots for the quantity don't i? I know stupid Q but want to be sure as i've only done courriering when i've rung parcel force for my old work! lol.

LunarSeasonsGreetings · 01/12/2006 11:50

Yes 3 lots in the quantity.

But best if you ask for collection next day from the £3.99 people - they don't seem very competent at spotting collection request times in advance, although they ask you to email them that info.

I purchased 2 deliveries from them yesterday, clearly told them they were to be collected on MONDAY, and they arrived to collect them TODAY. Fortunately one of the parcels was ready to go, but the other one wasn't. Have had to get back to them to ask for an explanation/resolution. If I end up paying for two parcels and only getting to send one, and then have to pay again for the 2nd one it isn't going to be such a great bargain

Payperdrop are fine though - have used them before with no hassles.
