I'm shamelessly looking for ideas as I have none! Wink

How old are your DC and what are you planning to buy them?

My 2 year old is getting:

wooden car garage
melissa and doug vehicles
melissa and doug sticker pad
playdoh
books
puzzles
craft materials
cotton wheels

and possibly fuzzy felt if I can find some cheap enough.

fuzzpig · 14/08/2015 14:22

It's lovely that your 8yo wants a toy kitchen, OvO - I'd love to get one for my two (6/8) as I know they'd get tons of use out of it still. I saw a gorgeous wooden play shop on the Myriad website a while ago, if only we had the space it would be fantastic. They play that kind of stuff all the time still.

Clueing4looks · 14/08/2015 14:25

My ds 10 wants the new lego dimensions wii u game and accessories so will probably get that. My dd 11 is starting secondary school in September so I'm anticipating she'll probably want clothes, shoes and make up this year instead of monster high dolls and toys.

Equimum · 14/08/2015 14:48

DS will be 3 at Christmas. My thoughts so far (for b/day & Christmas) are:-

Wooden garage
Cash register
Duplo sets
Wooden digger & crane (Pintoy)
Wooden play food
Pirate ship

He'll probably get some stickers, crafty bits, books etc too

themumfairy · 14/08/2015 15:55

ds 8, tablet, jurassic world lego and figures.

ds 6, tablet, the descpicle me fart blaster Sad

the only thing that they've asked for so far is the jurassic world dvd but that will change Wink

JiltedJohnsJulie · 14/08/2015 18:09

11 and 8 and May both be getting new bikes as they've grown out of theirs.

ThomasRichard · 14/08/2015 18:18

5yo DS is getting a digital camera for his big present, an Octonauts DVD from DD and some stocking fillers: Top 10 Most Deadly DVD and an Iggle Piggle featured on his list Confused

2yo DD: no idea.

1122christy · 14/08/2015 18:27

Ds 7 - wants Lego dimensions and ninjago set for it ( I'm hoping this comes down in price!) Lego ninjago, Lego Minecraft and Lego Jurassic world. Some books he's just getting into goosebumps so will get him a bunch. Xbox game Jurassic world. If already got him kreo transformers which was reduced from £40 to £9 ????

Dd1 5 - has just had her birthday in July so hasn't talked about anything yet for main present. But think we will get her a hudl 2. Then some Minecraft figures and I'm hoping to get her into playmobil so some of that. Disney infinity inside out playset, inside out toys. She's not very girly so I struggle a little in what to get her. For her birthday she got everything teenage mutant ninja turtles related lol doesn't like dolls, frozen, any Disney princess stuff!

Dd2 - will be 3 - iv bought an old doll house and am doing up, iv bought wallpaper, mini carpets etc can't wait! I'm gng to get her sylvanian families to live in the house. I'm going to get some playmobil too for her, I'm hopin her and her sister will play together with it. Palace pets Also Disney store mini animator dolls, they are so lovely! (Her birthday is in November so she will be given some of this too). She's very girly.

attheendoftheday · 15/08/2015 11:32

My two will get a big dolls house populated with playmobil people to share, and then will have:

Dd1 4yo
Frozen Lego
Lottie doll
Goldie blox set
Mermaid doll
My little Pony hoodie

Dd2 2(nearly 3) to
Tangled Lego
Lottie doll
Saxoflute
Mermaid doll
My little Pony hoodie

It's hard trying to find them individual presents when they like all the same things!

No ideas about stockings yet.

MsCake · 15/08/2015 11:48

I have one DS who will be 3.5 at Christmas, and my second is due in November so I'm planning to get all the Christmas presents bought, wrapped, labelled and hidden by the end of September!

DS is going to get this, which I am really excited about because I think he will love it:
www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B002R6A4KQ/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pd_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=3DTIAIVG94Z2U&coliid=I2MCPHRQGXH6QJ

It's a den-making kit, and he loves dens, and building, and hopefully it will be absorbing enough to keep him busy on Christmas day - last year the Stomp Rocket was amazing, we put it in his Christmas stocking along with some titchy gifts, and he played with it until about 2pm! Massive success here, and I recommend it to others!

He's also getting some Octonauts toys and audio books (he could listen to stories all day, and he ADORES Octonauts).

I'm going to get some Gruffalo finger puppets for the baby - I know he won't really know anything about it, but I want to get him something cute.

MadeFromTools · 15/08/2015 11:57

Not a clue but been thinking about it too. Dd will be 4 and a half and all I know so far is no massive chunky toys as the ones she has have taken up enough room in our small house! Probably a few nice dresses/outfits (she loves pretty clothes), another set of Shopkins (nice and small), maybe some creative stuff like aquadoodle /more playdoh/craft stuff.

chaiselounger · 15/08/2015 11:58

No idea. Probably buy them trainers and clothes.
I don't like the way that parents spend £100's on 10-20 presents. I think it's grotesque.

MadeFromTools · 15/08/2015 12:03

Grotesque describes it perfectly, chaise

sooperdooper · 15/08/2015 12:03

I was just thinking about presents for my neice (3) and goddaughter (5) - thinking about getting them each a wooden toy box/hamper, painting with their names and filling them with dressing up outfits, so if I buy something each month from now until Christmas they'll be full & spread the cost out! Those with that aged girls, do you think it's a good present?

GlitterTwinkleToes · 15/08/2015 12:05

Dd will be 21 months at Christmas. Her main present (already hidden in the attic) is a electric police car with sirens.

Might pick up some "Christmasy" books nearer the time and some "Christmasy" soft toys. Not to be fussed about it tbh, she has loads of toys and most recommendations for toys she already has (thanks to my younger brothers donating their toys to her)

ThomasRichard · 15/08/2015 13:03

sooper that sounds lovely.

EaglesNest · 15/08/2015 13:05

Fantastic idea sooper. I would be overjoyed with that present for my daughters.

MintJulip · 15/08/2015 13:31

red riding hood cape /wolf cape.

TheMaddestHatter · 15/08/2015 18:29

Oh Lucy the dog is fantastic. I bought it the Christmas before last. Surprised the price hasnt come down since then.

AlisonBlunderland · 15/08/2015 18:30

It's August ffs!
AUGUST!

DeathMetalMum · 15/08/2015 18:43

Dd2 (almost 3 by christmas) wooden train set, equestria girl doll and probably some playmobil

Dd1 (almost 5) vtech kiddi zoom camera, lego elsas palace it came out just after her birthday last year so this will be a big one for her, equestria girls doll that's it probably.

Bits and bobs will be in stocking and we have lots of relatives so try and choose things that store away easily so the toys don't take over.

insanityscatching · 15/08/2015 19:15

Dd2 is 12 and wants a new laptop so she will have what she wants. She also wants the new 3ds xl, most likely for no other reason than she has had each new model as it's released Hmm Dh intends to buy her that on holiday as a treat Hmm She will get the usual books, dvds, lush goodies, a onesie and ds games besides the laptop I imagine.

franksidebottom · 15/08/2015 19:44

Dd1 will be 14 - clothes, yankee candle, onesie, books not sure what else ...
Dd2 will be 8 arts and craft stuff, she is obsessed, some D's games and board games ...
Dd3 will be 7 months, no idea could do with any suggestions?

Wenglish · 15/08/2015 20:42

The DS' are getting scooters and a stocking each
I'm thinking Hama beads, books, DVDs, Xmas pj's and more pencils, colouring books.

DD will only be 6 months so a rag doll, personalised keepsake book, few bits and bond I haven't thought of yet!

Wenglish · 15/08/2015 20:43

frank I'm with you on the suggestions front!
