McDreamy - not read the whole thread so sorry if someone has suggested this, but for DP's last birthday I contacted the football club he supports and bought one of their shirts for him. and the whole team signed it!! - He loved it.

I think even some of the big clubs will do this (thought not cheaply - DP supports a very obsucure club). But once had to try and get a present for someone through work, and rangers said they would do it for £100 to their charity!! - might be worth looking into.

autumnlover - have you already got the snowboard game? We got one for ds birthday. Amazon have strangely got it twice, for £39 then also for £29 exactly the same as far as I can tell. Seems to be best price, inc del.

I got dh a Nike ipod gadget, some new ttrainers, a couple of book, a jumper and a boring tie. Oh and a belt cos deptite the fact he has loads he can never find one.

joelallie, have you seen usb turntables? Maybe that would be the surprise twist, and really useful too. wish we had one.

also good is car ipod connector. dh loves it

eidsvold · 22/11/2006 03:59

dh always gets stocking stuffers - toblerone, boxers, socks and some vests

otherwise - usually Cd's, DVD's, magazine subscription, books...

this year - no idea!!

a trial introductory lesson in Alexander Technique
plus books about it
a guide to hip-hop language
a book about teaching your children yoga (so he can do it with the dcs)
plus he has made an Amazon wishlist full of obscuro CDs, so something off there.

A cheapish watch that he asked for (from the paper). I sent off for it thinking wow, xmas present sorted and then he saw a tripod for his camera @ £90.00 that he pleaded for! So I have spent a lot more than I intended.

Gobbledigook · 22/11/2006 20:49

So far I have bought Blackadder DVD - complete collection (for me really, disguised as a gift for dh - hehe!)

UCM · 23/11/2006 08:08

I bought DH a wind up radio and a watch. Both things he asked for. I will probably wrap up socks/pants/christmas ale for his stocking as well.
