I've done presents in the past, but too much hassle - just chocolate coins for us this year, I think.

Tommy · 13/11/2006 11:17

box of celebrations or miniature heroes - one in each and they can take it in turns

I do alternate days with presents and chocolate so one day it will be a little wooden spinning top or similar the next a minature dairy milk or the like.

aweebitgross · 13/11/2006 11:18

Yeah, I put some celebrations of miniature heroes.

How about a 10p or 20p if you son't want to give them sweets

MrsMills · 13/11/2006 11:18

We have wooden advent calendars and just put a small sweet in each box, you could even get away with smarties in a few of them.

nailpolish · 13/11/2006 11:18

ComeOVeneer · 13/11/2006 11:19

Am stuck with what to do for ds's box. For dd last year I put in novelty rubbers (by that I mean the eraser kind ), some sweets/chocolates, hair accesories, small toys , I.O.U notes for a trip to the cinema or such like.

Katymac · 13/11/2006 11:20

Mini mars bars/milky ways?

Out of interest, this sounds great. Where can I get one of these things?

Sorry to hijack your thread.

My ideas: Put mainly small sweets in but the occasional bigger present. That way there is more suspense for the children.
