Following from the flop thread - what are your children's *main* presents this year?

And how do you think they will be received?

Mine:

DS1 - ELC keyboard on stand with stool and microphone, does recording and rhythms etc.

DS2 - lovely red drum kit with big bass drum, 4 smaller drums and a cymbal (am very excited about that one )

Between them we are giving them a mini fridge so we can put drinks/snacks in there for them to help themselves to (might live to regret that one )

So, what are yours and why? (This is pure self-indulgence, I love kids and Christmas)

what was that thing that people were raving about where you think of something and it asks you questions and guesses what it is?

Lost xmas money to farepak but managing to save some money(phew)

Ds1 new electric guitar
Ds2 membership to local golf course

dd1 a play kitchen

dd2 she's a baby so clothes and bits.

from me & dh for ds 3, 5 & 7, ps2 & couple of games. Oh and a tattoo pen (haven't told dh yet) so under £100 for all 3 kids, quite pleased about that.

But then ds 3 & 2 havebirthdays in next few weeks, and will get spoiled madly by relatives.

For ds1, anything doctor who (will get the annual, the sonic screwdriver, pj's and remote control K9)

for ds 2 remote control dalek, sonic screwdriver, yu-gi-oh! cards, a plug and play snowboard etc etc

for ds3, god knows, poor little sod like pph, we already got everything. For his birthday got him a Thomas TE addition to existing duplo train set, dino adventure set which is like click together tracks for cars to race on, a Cars talking car (all from rellies)

DD2 a chair from Ikea(one of those egg shaped ones)
Boring I know but we don't need anything big so they will get loads of little toys.

PPH, do you have the Pintoy fire engine?

PPH - what about a camoflague net. We got one for DS a few years ago to cover the cracks in his bedroom cieling. thinking of getting another one to convert the den they never use into a bird hide (built from railway sleepers bloomin' hard work to carry so determined they will use it somehow!).

Camo net has all sorts of uses outside though. At least its different and not all plastic. You can get them for about £10 off ebay.

Feel sure these are all v g presents. Wasn't going to bother with the dolls but they've got really into thei grotty old dolls during the last few wks so hoping these hit the spot!

dd is almost 2 and getting a my first baby annabel

ds is a baby (will be 5 months at xmas) so we might pick him up a cheap toy if we can afford it but at the moment looks like we'll be re-wrapping something for him.

luckily they're little so won't know what they're missing with us being broke
