It was exactly like Diagon Alley, CF. But exactly.

Although, if you want Diagon Alley...Cardiff Arcades...

Filly can you be fecked now? because I am seriously thinking of not going as I feel quite demoralised

the pollocks place was one place I was planning to go to as they have the sprauncey german advent calendars

but all the stuff there is pricey IMO

I need to go to London because I have these stupid Zara trousers to return, (stupid effing sizes in that shop, no? I am not too thin for a size 8) and I thought while I am there I would get the advent calendar and then do ds's stocking

Dp has the day off so I was going alone

but it is going to cost me £16.50 to get there (more than the trousers cost) and the dentist fleeced us both last week, and I have no money

oh arse and bother

am sorry, btw, cf

I am off to the arcades tommorrow cf (and primark ) and I will think of you

do you get torchwood btw over there?

cardiff porn, bascially. I mean, there's a bit of alien sex and that but the shots of cardiff are completely indecent?

FrannyonFire · 06/11/2006 21:06

No don't worry my dear

I am calmer now after that rant, pls carry on as normal

If you do decided to go into town, there is a Muji relatively close to John Lewis - it is on the east side of the 'circus' and near Borders and M&S I think. Also, closer to Selfridges, there is a shop at the top of St. Christopher's place, Humla, which sells very nice children's thing, but possibly pricier than you are thinking of.

FillyjonkTheFireEater · 06/11/2006 21:18

aw frank

I was pretending to be looking at muddlepuddle so didn't see the rest of your rant

I am so sorry that you are too thin for a size 8

um

we have some rather nice advent calenders in a shop here. Including some xmas card sized ones that I planned on sending to overseas friends kids. They sound like the ones you described before but...what would be the odds, eh?

Can you link at all? (have we had this conversation?) Or is Spracey really the name? I mean, really?

CF- I could probably manage that, i think .

FrannyonFire · 06/11/2006 21:29

Oh piss off I am a perfectly good size, they are just stoopid trousers (and stoopid expanding trousers to boot, I did try them on in the shop)

sprauncy , I may possibly have been spelling it wrong

I want to be persuaded to go. Find me a way to justify the expense to myself, please...

me? have I? how did I manage that then?

OP posts:
FillyjonkTheFireEater · 07/11/2006 07:17

I did think it was rather a nice name for a calender

I could go down to my local shop and take a subversive photo if you want. Its just at the end of my road

the trouble is, dd keeps nicking stuff out of there. I have to check all her pockets before we leave. (she's 16 months btw, so I don't think this is indivative od a slippery slope to crime). So heck, my standing is so low...

YellowFeathers · 07/11/2006 07:26

Imaginarium are great - in Mothercare at Kew although that may be too far out of town for you. Also in branches at Bluewater, Edmonton, Watford & Milton Keynes if that's any use...

FrannyonFire · 07/11/2006 08:19

NQC are you heeeeeee-eeeeeeeeere?

Allie that sounds fab but yes it is a bit too far

Not sure how good they are for actual toys, but the pharmacy on Berwick St called Zest has terrific stocking fillers of a slightly more grown-up variety.

(am also mourning Neal St East)

FrannyonFire · 07/11/2006 08:27

Oh thank you Mrs B

I am searching online and coming up with b all basically
