2 boxes of mince pies. Various chocs and nibbles. This is partly because I can't resist the Ocado Christmas sale, so I bought my reduced price nibbles on December 27th!

CiderwithBuda · 18/01/2015 22:29

Spideysenses - DH made it from plums from our garden and Sainsburys best gin!! Found a recipe on line. It's lethal. Tastes like Ribena.

Whoknows - sounds good. Will they last till next year?

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 18/01/2015 22:54

In terms of not going mouldy or anything if you dry them properly they'll last years and look nice, but not sure how long the fragrance lasts.

Theimpossiblegirl · 18/01/2015 23:09

I still have Christmas fridge- so many chutneys to get through and even some cheese (long dates).

I also have crackers (food and Christmas variety), more unopened chutneys, a Christmas pud that feeds 15, snacky bits and a very full drinks cupboard (that will remain so until BBQ season unless we get snowed in).

I ate the last of the stolen last week. I have a packet of 6 Christmas cracker shaped chocs that were a present. I still have a few amaretti biscuits for me.

We do still have a fair amount of crisps (mostly salt and vinegar ones as internet subs!! grr!) and beer, which were stocked up for Christmas - but the seasonal versions are well gone.

DD is still going through the little choc slabs that were in packs of 4 for the tree.

I have a bottle of turkey gravy in the freezer, and a breast of turkey. I'll probably do another "roast dinner" with those, or maybe a stirfry and use the gravy next Thanksgiving. The turkey stock gets used for various things to give greater depth of flavor than chicken stock.

I'd love a few more seasonal treats to get rid of though.

jdubb · 21/01/2015 12:15

My veg soup today contains the last of the bag of sprouts we bought for Christmas!!! Mmmmmm. Sadly all the chocolate is LONG gone!

DS had some Galaxy bars from his Christmas Selection Box that he 'gifted' to me. (Counters and a Caramel bar)
They have really changed Sad, dry and waxy.
Not sure if they've been hanging around too long , they didn't have that 'bloom' that they get.

We've mostly done the food but have got a fair few bottles of festive booze sitting gathering dust on the shelf.

I might just have to invite my drunkard friends round to drink the dregs up.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 25/01/2015 21:15

I ate the last two chocolate coins on Friday, some blue cheese from the freezer today, we had a pack of the jus-rol croissants yesterday. Think we're just about done now. There are some candy canes in the sweet basket though.

BornToFolk · 25/01/2015 21:18

I've got the remains of the gingerbread house and a tub of Celebrations. Also, an unopened box of biscuits and bag of gingerbread hearts. Oh, and a Christmas pudding from 2 years ago Hmm Stacks of mincemeat too but I bought that after Christmas when Sainsbos were selling it off for 5p and it's for next year so technically not a leftover.

DS still has stacks of Christmas sweets and chocolates. He also has sweets left from his birthday in October as well as an Easter bunny from last year. He does eat chocolate and sweets! He just seems to get so many of them he never gets through them.

On the booze front, there's a bottle of cava and a bottle of champagne, also from 2 years ago.

cozietoesie · 03/02/2015 21:59

Stollen
Chocolate
Mince pies
Chocolate
Booze
Chocolate
Frozen savoury nibble things
Chocolate
Lots of wrapped things in the freezer that date from Xmas but I'm not sure what they are.

Oh - and chocolate. In fact nearly every ruddy surface in this house has chocolate on it!

I plan to have a healthy September/October in preparation for next Xmas. In the meantime, we're having a succession of very strange meals indeed.

LineRunner · 08/02/2015 20:15

I've still got the M&S squirty cream which is good till the 14th Feb. DP says he's got an idea. Smile

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 08/02/2015 21:46

I'm still eating some posh chocolates DH gave me if it had been Cadburys Heroes I'd have troughed them weeks ago. I threw away the last Lidl mini stollen yesterday. Still got quite a lot of booze left too.

Just finished off the orange and lemon jelly slices, whatever they're officially called.

Currently have a Celebration tub of mini Bounty bars and random odd bits of chocolate. Had loads of peanuts and breadsticks leftover. Note to self, don't bother buying either next year.

jdubb · 13/02/2015 10:50

Yesterday's lunch comprised turkey and chorizo pie - it was delish! I think there is one more portion of turkey to use up in the recesses of the freezer! It smelt lovely cooking, and made me feel all festive again!

AtAt · 14/02/2015 17:13

cozietoesie · 14/02/2015 20:00

DH has got 2 packets of Hotel Chocolate chocolate covered Brazil's left.
There's about quarter of Christmas cake left.
2 boxes of chocolates which won't go out of date for a few months so we'll open them at Easter when there'll be more than DH & myself here (I've been trying to lose a few pounds & can resist if the boxes aren't opened).
There's a packet of frozen croissants, pain au chocolates & fruit whirly things from Waitrose in the freezer (other pack was eaten for breakfast on Christmas morning) so they can keep for Easter too.
Think that's it!
