Mine are piled in the spare room... And I mean Piled!! All over the bed, floor, sideboard and on top of the wardrobe... You can barely get in the room. (We buy for a lot of people!)

I have guests coming next week, and I need my guest room... But I literally have I idea where I'm going to put everything and DH and I are a bit panicked about it... (Not just a bit... He's actually considering cancelling..??!)

We have two spare rooms, which is lucky as Grandad is visiting at the minute!
Other spare room is my wrapping and storing area, however the Santa gifts and stocking fillers are wrapped and with my lovely next door neighbours.
I think they are enjoying all the secret trips in and out...their children and grandchildren are all grown up.

ajandjjmum · 14/12/2014 08:19

Inside a hostess trolley! TBF the majority are wrapped and in the lounge behind the sofa - hoping DC (in their early 20s) can refrain from poking, although I suspect not! I always find the odd forgotten present in an amazing hiding place, round about April every year! Grin

Iamblossom · 14/12/2014 08:20

I keep everything at my dad's house in a wardrobe

MamaPizza · 14/12/2014 08:22

In the pantry. It's inaccessible from about October on and the vacuum and ironing board live in the kitchen for two months.

OodKingWenceslas · 14/12/2014 08:23

Other people/each other are under the tree ( tree is behind bars to stop ds eating it/baubles) and everything else is in my wardrobe or the loft.

Presents for people not in our house are kept under the tree/in gift bags. All of the DCs preskents are stored in suitcases, in the wardrobe, on top of the wardrobe and a couple are on top of the kitchen cupboards.

DurhamDurham · 14/12/2014 08:48

Now that my girls are teens I put all presents under the tree. I used to hide the girls presents in my wardrobes but as they don't believe in the big red man ( sob ) I don't need to do that anymore. Having said that, our tree isn't up as yet so all presents are currently in the spare room on the bed.

kissmelittleass · 14/12/2014 08:56

In the understairs cupboard and stocking bits and smaller presents in top of my wardrobe..put them all under the tree xmas eve when dd and ds sit counting their presents and having a feel!

BuilderMammy · 14/12/2014 08:59

The kids' stuff is in the attic, wrapped and in a box each. I'll get them down early on christmas eve (probably while DH straps the kids into the car so there's no chance of them noticing!) and put them in the ensuite shower till after bedtime.

Things for DH and my family are in our room in boxes. Actually I really must get on with wrapping those, that's the last thing I want to have to do on christmas eve!

I won't put anything under the tree in advance till the kids are older, it's bad enough persuading a two year old not to take the baubles off; I don't think he could cope with having to not touch presents!

wonkylegs · 14/12/2014 09:38

Wrapped ones are under the tree, unwrapped & Santa stuff is in my office (I work from home) in a pile under a blanket (to stop accidental glimpses)

WhereTheWaldThingsAre · 14/12/2014 09:44

Some in a suitcase on top of our wardrobe. And the a few bits in boxes at my parents' house in their spare room.

WhoKnowsWhereTheMistletoes · 14/12/2014 09:44

We've got one of those lift up divan beds, they are all under there and I do all the wrapping sat on the end of the bed with the ironing board set up as a wrapping station so once it's done they all go back under the bed. We don't put them under the tree, it's in full view of the street, maybe just a few small ones received from friends etc in the run-up to Christmas.

Before we had the lift up bed it was a combination of loft, garden shed, high shelves in wardrobes, understairs cupboard, all over the place, the bed is new this year and has made it all a lot easier.

andadietcoke · 14/12/2014 11:10

I've just gone back under aforementioned ottoman bed to find that 4 of the presents I lovingly wrapped last weekend have got squashed by the frame and need re wrapping. Yay.

Arrowfanatic · 15/12/2014 20:57

Piled like some kind of daredevil buckaroo game in our hallway cupboard. The cupboard was packed full before the present buying started so now it's really fun adding anything else to the pile Xmas Hmm

ZeViteVitchofCwismas · 15/12/2014 21:24

Attic in a the most rattly bag known to man the Ikea blue bag.

Access is right by dd room....

callmekitten · 16/12/2014 05:15

In the basement. DD is afraid to go down there alone.

Presents for other people are under the tree, looks nice and easy to locate if they call in.

Presents for DH, DD and Ddog (and family dogs) are in the spare room in boxes.

HollyJollyDillydolly · 16/12/2014 08:38

Ds 1&2 are in a suitcase in the back of their built in wardrobe, completely out of sight.
Dd1 in a box in dd2 wardrobe, she never goes in her sisters room so safe I think.
Dd2 in cardboard boxes in her room. She's 18m and in a cot so can't go exploring.

NorbertDentressangle · 16/12/2014 08:48

In the "indoor shed" as we affectionately call it ( a room that's awaiting renovation to become a shower room so is bare brick, big holes, spiders, cobwebs, dark, freezing cold and full of stuff thats been dumped there - no danger of children rummaging in there!)

BiddyPop · 16/12/2014 09:28

The presents for my DPs and siblings are mostly already in my parents house. Except 1 I have yet to find the last piece of (it is bought, I KNOW that). The same for the presents for PILs and DH's siblings.

The presents for the rest of my family living near us, the ones that are bought, are split between our storage unit (about a mile away) and 1 bag in the spare room. The presents from PIL are under the tree, and from 1 DSis. The presents for DD are in the storage, as well as mine for DH (except 1 small thing to wrap - which is in my wardrobe).

There are a few small things for DD we've picked up this week that are under the cover with the spare wheel in the boot of the car.

The bits for the Christmas Eve hamper are in the wardrobe in the spare room. The last few presents that I have bought but not yet wrapped are in a plastic storage crate in the spare room (I was working from the crate downstairs the last 2 weeks, wrapping a few each day, but moved it over the weekend out of the way). I will get to those this weekend, along with the last ones I have yet to buy this week.

All the wine for Christmas (and the extra I bought this week on 25% off - which will see us through to almost Easter) is also in the storage unit. It is very handy and we are actually starting to use it a bit more sensibly recently, not just for stuff that we want out of the house permenantly, but off-season clothes and other more temporary storage needs too.

And I know that I should not go rummaging in DD's top drawer for winter thermals, as she has a bag stashed in there that I am not supposed to know about. And I know that an amazon delivery was made to DH's office, that I am also not supposed to know about Xmas Grin!! (He knows I spotted the purchase in DD's room as it was made, but he doesn't realize he left his gmail open on my ipad which showed the delivery confirmation email!!).

snowmanshoes · 16/12/2014 12:25

The presents for dc are wrapped and in Santa sacks up the loft, the ones from each other and some from us are under the tree, I then put other presents on top/in front of these and they don't notice. Presents that have come from other people go straight under the tree so that only leaves the main presents to the dc from us which are shoved everywhere but mainly in my wardrobe.

Aebj · 16/12/2014 12:26

In the shop!!! Haven't even started yet!!!! But in our wardrobe

Thisisanoutrage · 16/12/2014 12:32

In the car roof box. Which is in the garage, not currently on the car.
