krave cereal on the children's bed. they are always asking me to buy it and I rarely do because it's so expensive or does it sound a bit naff/strange

I don't think it's weird. I was thinking about getting my three dc a box of their favourite cereal to go in their stocking. I think they will think it is funny that Father Christmas has given them something different.

It's things like rubbish cereal which prove that FC is real - clearly it can't be Mummy buying it because she is a miserable grump and says it is too sugary and a waste of money.

supermariossister · 09/12/2014 22:47

I feel reassured now Smile. and craving sugar!

Mine still talk about the year they got big bottles of Ribena in different flavours. This year it's hot chocolate, milkshake powder and some weird peanut butter hot drink DS will just love. YYY to food in stockings!

Wiifitmama · 09/12/2014 22:58

My three are all getting round pots of lucky charm cereal in their stockings this year bought at insane price from Selfridges food hall. If that doesn't prove that Santa is real, nothing will! Xmas Grin

The pound shop currently have those little round pots of Lucky Charms. Still expensive for a single serving of cereal, but for a one off it's fine Grin

supermariossister · 11/12/2014 14:35

I'm stealing that idea, the dc are always pestering for me to buy Krave. Think FC can bring one box, they're not getting a box each! He's also bringing them instant hot chocolate sachets now I've discovered ds is ok with the wispa ones (no sweetners)

supermariossister · 11/12/2014 14:51

glad to be of help Grin he's only bringing a box each as they are 3 for £6 in Asda haha.

FC always brings my dc a box of sugary shit in a box Frosties.

VikingLady · 11/12/2014 16:33

One of our biggest family traditions was always having our favourite breakfast, it still is! Bake your own pain au chocolat, sugary crappy cereal as kids, then smoked salmon and scrambled eggs as adults. With Buck's Fizz.

DH wanted bacon butties, til I pointed out he'd have to clean up after frying the bacon before he could do dinner. The mess he makes with bacon!

InFlagranteDelicto · 11/12/2014 16:45

Even more thanks- there's on just up the road!

daisychicken · 11/12/2014 16:46

VikingLady it is bacon sandwiches (DH & dc) or bacon and egg (me) with Buck's Fizz for Christmas Day breakfast - it's most wrong when we stay with DPs and they do bacon but not Buck's Fizz!

supermariossister · 12/12/2014 20:02

got my boxes of krave today Grin.
