Thought it might be nice to have a separate thread here :) Let the lightening clicking begin Grin

Curiously - it looks like it's full price, then there's a reduction at the end of the huge column of numbers, but before the VAT.

ouryve · 25/11/2014 18:48

The roller coaster was £22-something. Not bad, but not wildly exciting compared to what I've seen it for.

I'm curious about the sewing machine. Is it a good one? Mine's old and much the worse for wear and does crap buttonholes. If that one's any better, I might keep an eye out in case it returns.

EdwiniasRevenge · 25/11/2014 18:58

The sewing machine was £ 170 I think but it was an all singing embroidery machine. Theres another less high spec one latee this evening.

ouryve · 25/11/2014 18:58

It's still there.

That's my Christmas present sorted.

ouryve · 25/11/2014 19:06

Now, that one fits the bill just nicely.

Honeydragon · 25/11/2014 19:09

For those disheartened, it's like any other sale. It's only a bargain if you are happy with the price and you want the item.

I'm strict, I rarely impulse buy and price check before I do.

Also, you have distance seller regulations on your side, so can return items FOC.

Smile

(Although I always ask for Amazon vouchers for my birthday, just in case I do have a moment of madness I can justify it Wink )

Rainicorn · 25/11/2014 19:11

I am very happy with my one purchase so far.

Last year I got a lot of bargains as well, hoping for the same this year.

cookiefiend · 25/11/2014 19:11

Oh dear.... I had planned to get DD nothing much for Christmas (she is one and just had her birthday- we are moving house soon so thought we would need to get her stuff then). I have so far bought three things. Including a wheely bug I had talked myself out of but it is the exact one I have wanted for ages think she would like.

Grr....

LalaDipsey · 25/11/2014 19:14

Has anyone worked out how to do the deals on the iPad app and be able to go back without paging through the deals again? If I click in a deal, from the deals page and then press the back button it goes to the top of the deals page and I have to page down and down whilst it loads very slowly - meanwhile missing the deals!
My iPhone lets me go backwards but it doesn't come up with the bronzed 'add to basket' buttons gggrrrrr.
On the plus side, I got marble run yesterday and the colouring pens today PLUS I have added lots to my basket and them deleted without buying, although am gutted I missed the handheld steamer yesterday!

ouryve · 25/11/2014 19:14

And if that one ends up £25 cheaper than the freestyle one, it'll knock the spots off the same priced Brother machine at John Lewis.

OwlCapone · 25/11/2014 19:18

I don't use the amazon app on my ipad and just click, hold and choose open in new tab. Then I can close the deal tab and go back to where I was in the list of deals.

slithytove · 25/11/2014 19:27

I've bought a Furminator for my very hairy cats, and the tomy activity balls, and the Peter Pan pop up book

Desperate to find the iPad Air at a reduced price, best around seems to be amazon at £295

amyhamster · 25/11/2014 19:29

I'm trying for watch dogs!

amyhamster · 25/11/2014 19:32

yes, got it! reduced from £44 to £17.99!

GoofyIsACow · 25/11/2014 19:32

ooh Owl I hadn't thought to do that, what a good idea!
I have just downloaded the app although it doesn't seem to have the function to join the waitlist for any items... Am. I missing something?

BumpAndGrind · 25/11/2014 19:36

I just got a WheelyBug for DD.

I was getting her one for Christmas anyway. The cheapest I had seen was £42, but no longer in stock. Just got one for £35 :)

I'm actually really happy because I budgeted £55 for one.

OwlCapone · 25/11/2014 19:36

I honed my skills last year :)

Tbh, I never use the app.

Those looking for Apple - don't forget that Apple itself will have a Black friday sale on the actual day.

ClaudetteWyms · 25/11/2014 19:38

Thank you for this thread, I would never have bothered looking at the deals otherwise. I got the telescope for DD today, she will love it!

WhispersOfWickedness · 25/11/2014 19:47

I was out all day in the end! How much did the furminator go for in the end? We have got a seriously hairy white cat...

ouryve · 25/11/2014 19:51

£150 on the nose.

ouryve · 25/11/2014 19:54

Bump wheelybugs have good resale value, too. We got the big one for DS2 when he was turning 5 and just reaching the point where he would fit for another year at most. He was only just beginning to show any interest at all in ride on toys, at that point, so there wasn't a lot to choose from. We got it for £35 and sold it for £25.

poorbuthappy · 25/11/2014 19:56

Right so have had 2 Disney infinity 2.0 starter packs delivered today and have managed to sell 1 on.
Did anyone else buy the boots this morning? I got a brown pair and am very interested to see the quality on them.

Curiouslygrumpycola · 25/11/2014 20:10

I got the farm and I now need to step away from amazon.
