Dds will be 3.6 and nearly 2 at christmas. They are both getting:
Peppa pig bath paint
Apron (gruffalo for dd1 and elmer for dd2)
Foam build your own plane kit
Magic flannel
Tiny playmobil set
Few little books
Choc coins
Sugar mouse
Cuddly toy on the top (not chosen yet)

BitOutOfPractice · 11/11/2014 18:25

Ooo I've just bought some cupcake holders for their lunch boxes!

TooManyCuddlies · 11/11/2014 18:39

I like to make sweet things for the stockings.

I make shortbread or gingerbread men/animals, and sugar mice for my DC and my niece and nephew's stockings - though some of the Dc are a bit young yet for the mice.

MIL makes her own candy canes, they are brilliant! They do look home made but that makes them better IMO, like the elves have made them. She used to always make them to hang on the tree, but now they appear as a surprise on her tree on Christmas morning, and one in the stocking of older DC too.

HonestLie · 11/11/2014 18:42

Place marking and will share mine later - although they will probably have been covered

TurboTheChicken · 11/11/2014 18:47

My DC have been talking about a fish tank for Christmas, I've got a Sea Monkey kit each for their stockings instead.

Not cheap but cheaper than an aquarium!

I8toys · 11/11/2014 18:52

Jelly bean uno, plop trumps, splat snowballs, 50 note chocolate bar - tesco, shower speaker for ds11, earphone detangler - M&S, mini pin art thing, drumstick pencils, small desktop drum kit, magic 8 ball, harmonica, mini helicopters - anything from Hawkins Bazaar really.

I8toys · 11/11/2014 18:53

Oh and loads of american sweets - nerds, wonka bars

Sootgremlin · 11/11/2014 18:58

I go a bit overboard on stockings.

Hex bug (£3 mini one, he saw an advert)
Harmonica
Projector torch
mr men books (£1.50 each in Wilkos)
Glitter glue
Craft bits - googly eyes, pipe cleaners
Octonauts plasters
Octonauts cutlery (dinner set is a main present)
Tub playdough (usually make it at home)
Glider plane
Watch (animal snap on one £1.99 on amazon)
Kinder egg, Choc coins, chocolate teddy, satsuma, flannel, toothbrush

Sootgremlin · 11/11/2014 18:59

Oh and a Schleich animal of some kind.

LokiBear · 11/11/2014 19:12

I try not to buy 'stocking filler' type presents. Instead I put smaller presents into DD's stocking or consumables. This year I've bought:
Ariel costume
Scooby doo dvd
Chocolate coins
A torch (dd is desperate for one)
Bubble bath
Yo yo (again, desperately wants one)
Frozen hair brush
Puppets
A minion

DD is 3.5. I can't wait to see her face on Christmas day Grin

EElisavetaofBelsornia · 11/11/2014 19:20

Shamelessly place marking because you are all much more creative than me Smile

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 11/11/2014 19:27

Spiderman flashing yo yo
Chocolate orange
Toy story stickers
2 small playmobil sets
Glitter glue pens
Activity books
Ben 10 surprise bag thing
N few other bits can't remember.

Ds is 4

MegBusset · 11/11/2014 19:35

My DSes are 5 and 7 and their stockings will contain:

Blank notepads (99p store)
Felt tip pens (ditto)
Coco Pops variety-size box (parents would never allow such a thing)
Tube of sweets
Sticker book (Lego Harry Potter)
Lexo Mixel
Small activity book
Soft toy (this year it's Minecraft mobs)
Travel ludo/draughts (£1 from Amazon)
Yu-Gi-Oh/Moshi cards
Chocolate coins :)

BitOutOfPractice · 11/11/2014 19:42

Earphone detangler sounds brill!

And I must stock up on chocolate coins.

My kids seem to be older than most on here (14 and 11)

I think stocking filler threads are my favourite.
So far my ds's 6yrs & 4.5yrs have:

Noise squizzer magnets (randoms section in the entertainer)
Blank dry wipe flash cards
Lego movie keyring
Bobblehead monsters kit
Crazy soap (complete bargain at 50p in £stretcher)
Glow sticks
Flashing wheel (old school toy like I had years ago)
Bag of toy soldiers
Rubix cube torch
Flashing yoyo
Slime tube
Astronaut ice cream
Finger skateboard
Glow spinners
Rubberband ball (ds2 is mad about collecting rubber bands)
Brain Parp (random noise maker from Wilkos)
Chattering teeth
2x play doh tubs
Minion magic flannel
Turtle blow pens
The obligatory chocolate coins

I'm keeping my eye out for anymore bits and pieces as I go along :)

I8toys · 11/11/2014 20:03

Boots have some good things too - fisheye camera, zip earphones, Shower radio, crazy golf stationery set - I too have boys!!

AuntySib · 11/11/2014 20:11

Am so envious of you all doing stockings for little ones!
I am really struggling with ideas for DH, and ds 20,19. & 14. I have underwear, PJs, smellies, tubes of sweets. They all have torches, army knives, all the pens and stationery you could imagine already. Am really stumped this year. The boys don't drink or play sports, everything they do is computer based. They do read, but have kindles. Not really into clothes. One of them likes to cook, one is musical. They want ps4 games for main present, ( luckily not grabby kids).
I don't want to drop the stocking tradition but need help!

Sootgremlin · 11/11/2014 20:39

auntysib garlic press, silicon molds for the cook? Guitar strings, reeds or sheet music for the musical one?

Scratch cards, gift vouchers for Starbucks.

TheJiminyConjecture · 11/11/2014 20:50

I do a stocking for dh so if your 14 year old is male we can trade ideas Grin
Last year included the chocolate sprouts from M&S, a compressed air keyboard cleaner from Poundland, one of the credit card style multi tools, a funny paperback and some smellies etc

concretefeet · 11/11/2014 20:52

Colouring book and fine tip pens
Benefit minis
NailsInc Nail varnish and Jack Wills nail files - all Boots
Candy Kittens sweets - made in chelsea fan - Waitrose
Lonely planet world photographic book - book people
Fat face pjs
Primark socks
Primark polar bear gloves
Downton Abbey dvd!
Kindle gift card
Book(s) - going to browse Waterstones tomorrow
Sport bottle and kit bag
Superdrug Zoella guinea pig make up bag
Glamour December magazine
Sheepskin heart cushion- White company - discounted
Small Photobook downloaded from pics on her phone

We still have her stocking and sack from when she was little, which is massive, so we have to fill this. Main presents go in these, hence the big list.

MehsMum · 11/11/2014 21:01

My DC had, for years, always had socks, pritt stick, chocolate coins and a chocolate animal and tissues in their stockings. They also now get tippex and lip salve, and whatever else seems to suit - one has got a travel sewing kit this year. They get about 15 things every year, which I can just about cram int their stockings.

And every Christmas morning, without fail, they are thrilled by the socks. And the bloody pritt stick. They expect them, but there are always cries of joy: 'Yes! My pritt stick! I needed a new one! I was relying on Mum Father Christmas!'

BitOutOfPractice · 11/11/2014 21:07

A coffee shop gift card is a great idea!

BitOutOfPractice · 11/11/2014 21:09

MehsMum I buy chocolate coins for my BiL every year - have done for 30 years. Every year there is a big cheer from the whole family when he opens them! Grin

Lush have a new FUN bar out for Christmas which I think is a fab stocking filler.FUN is soap/bubbles/multipurpose and in playdoh form-a nice sausage of modelling fun you can wash with!

The new Christmas one is a snowman kit, rather than the usual one colour. It's largely white with the rest being black and orange ready to make your own snowman soap/bubbles.

It's awesome (and fun for adults too!)
