Wannasplit b&m are usually good for fireman Sam toys.

Notso · 01/11/2014 12:05

3pigs I had an attack of guilt when I got everything out to wrap last year. Even though I was well in budget my two youngest had far too much. I ended up putting some away for birthdays and gave a few bits to the Salvation Army. I am managing to be more restrained this year.

RJnomore · 01/11/2014 12:14

Do we all know tesco clubcard double up is on and you can use it on toys, electrical, beauty gift sets and gaming?

The new Disney infinity starter sets are down to about £42 each and are included.

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 01/11/2014 12:15

Oh lordy. ..I need cheap Elsa and Anna dolls!
Friends DD (when I asked her what she wants for Xmas) said "oh elsa and Anna dolls would make my Christmas the most special!" Hmm so because I'm pathetic, I'm now hunting for them under £20 for the pair

Not necessarily the barbie type ones, even the small plastic ones would be ok (like the ones Asda have in the half price set that's always sold out!)

I think it's to late to risk Aliexpress though

argh!

marne2 · 01/11/2014 12:17

Just seen on hotdeals that m&s are doing there biscuit tins on offer again, this week it's the gingerbread light up house for £5 ( half price ), I think the offer is in store only.

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 01/11/2014 12:31

iheart they had toothless in-store last week he is very cute Grin

So after high-fiving myself senseless for using Tesco double point boost for a bunch of sciencey toys for DS1, I keep getting emails and texts saying that the order has been delayed. Again. And again. With a revised delivery date each time.

I hope it doesn't get cancelled.

anyone else having this problem?

Whattheduck · 01/11/2014 12:35

Wilkinsons have some lovely manicure sets in a small fabric purse for £2.got one for mil's stocking to go with the handcream i got yesterday in tesco from their half price gift sets section.

EsmereldaPB · 01/11/2014 12:40

IHope living social have Elsa & anna dolls for £11 here although it's £4.99 postage

cookiefiend · 01/11/2014 12:46

4 lovely I think she ordered direct from them. The fleece came from china- looked like the stuff coming from aliexpress. There was no cover letter or anything just the fleece.
It is an interesting magazine, we may re subscribe. they have bombarded my mother with emails about re subscribing though- one a day at times and have since about may!

Guitargirl · 01/11/2014 12:49

0898 - I am having the same problem with the frozen advent calendar from tesco. They have revised the delivery date 3 times now. It's still showing as in stock on the website though so am hoping it will get here eventually!

40% off Body Shop including sale items using code 14672

Limbinthesup · 01/11/2014 13:28
  • ends Monday!
2kidsintow · 01/11/2014 13:32

I couldn't get the bodyshop 40% off to work on anything I wanted, but posted on here that 'Welcome' will get you 25% off (and it was working)... BUT....

I went and bought something instore yesterday as I had to go in to smell one of their new ranges and decide whether I liked it. The range isn't officially out yet so they had to get permission from the manager to get it from the back for me - so I didn't have the guts to then say 'Ta, but I don't want it'. I bought one of the shower gels for £4ish and on my receipt was a code for £10 off a £25 spend.

I'm not sure if it's a one-off code but I'll put it on here once I've done my orer in case anyone else can use it.

Otherwise, a small purchase instore can get you £10 off an online or instore order. :)

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 01/11/2014 13:38

zipzap · 01/11/2014 14:21

Anybody that can advise me on Skylanders please?

ds2 (6) has expressed an interest for the last couple of years, always dismissed it as being too expensive or not wanting him to spend loads of time on the Wii - but spotted that the original one and the giants one are now being sold for about £20-£25 so actually reasonable for a christmas present... (Thought I had it last year - reserved one that was reduced ridiculously low, like £15, compared to average selling price - but got to shop to pick it up and they discovered that it was just the box, the contents had been used as the display model and half lost, but the system hadn't been updated Angry)

Is it worth getting an older game - the new ones still seem to come in at £40-50 so don't really want to spend that much on a game.

he also likes Disney stuff so has seen the ads for Disney Infinity - which again seems much more expensive and has mixed reviews when used on the Wii. But is it better than skylanders?

Is there a point that it is worth jumping in to invest in it or is it just a rip off game that there's no point or enjoyment to be had?

Thanks for the advice!
