4lovelychildren did they have any elf looking toys?

Dogmatix34 · 30/10/2014 16:47

Sorry if this has been said already but Sainsburys have pg tips monkey with dressing gown and 160 tea bags for £4. There is also the option of getting Santa and elf suits with pg club points

Dogmatix34 · 30/10/2014 16:49

Again, probably said already but m and s light up santa's house biscuit tin half price. £5.

candykane25 · 30/10/2014 16:54

In the body shop they had Rudolph and snowman bath wash balls (like a round shape mesh thingy) for 1.75 down from 3.50, perfect for a pamper hamper.
The nice body shop lady told me there full christmas ranges are coming in soon. The Glazed Apple limited edition smells divine, a bit like
Dkny green delicious perfume. The packaging is real lovely this year.

margaritasbythesea · 30/10/2014 16:57

That sykvanians treehiuse is on amazon lightning deals about 2am tonught I think.

4lovelychildren · 30/10/2014 17:05

Not so they may have Elf looking toys as lots of the shelf's were empty and the staff were filling them with Christmassy merchandise.

BuckskinnedAstronaut · 30/10/2014 17:06

The treehouse is on lightning deals, but not the Country Tree School (I think, unless I'm missing it) and Amazon don't actually sell the Country Tree School themselves (it's only listed from a third party seller) so seems unlikely it's going to hit lightning deals at any point.

I could always get the treehouse and claim Santa got confused Grin.

Anyone know of a discount for jojo maman bebe? I need a fair bit and can't justify full price!

wibblyjelly · 30/10/2014 17:51

holidays thank you for the gingerbread house reminder. I bought one last year in the sales, and have just dug it out ready to use! Only problem is I'm not a huge gingerbread fan. Any other biscuit suggestions I could perhaps use?

pantshavenames · 30/10/2014 18:11

Brora have a flash sale on at the mo. Obv they need one to be bargainatious SmilebutI just picked up a cute Liberty print T-shirt for 10 for DD.

supermariossister · 30/10/2014 18:13

looking for a present for a 12 yr old for about 10 pound that I can use PayPal for. needs to be something decent looking size I've scoured eBay and can't think of anything

Reastie · 30/10/2014 18:14

Good grief already over 1/3 of the way through Shock

Can confirm poundland also had Choc Oranges for £1 too as well as in spottys co op and cookies sainsburys

sweet I got a letter through the post today from Jojo saying I think next week end they have a special where you go in to store and can collect a card which will give either 15, 20, or 50% off in store on that day. Might be worth it if you have a store local to you.

pigley has she suspected anything since the open-notebook-gate?

Important question, does anyone know when the supermarkets start heavily discounting their halloween stock? Will it be tomorrow or Saturday? There are a couple of things in there DD really likes and I'm thinking of stashing them for her for next year. Wondering if it's worth going tomorrow.

is it bad that I got genuinely excited by the thread making the mn swears by email? Blush

sweetpea I don't know of any Jojo codes at the moment. I did get my catalogue today and they are having Christmas shopping party in store event from 6th to the 9th Nov. Check out the website for details of local store. I have a secret Santa voucher in with the catalogue that says:
Bring this voucher to store to discover your discount (15%, 20% or 50%) and claim your free goody bag.
I would happily post this to you if you want it.
Probably by the time you read this you will have bought your order online anyway. Certainly easier than going to RL store where they may not have what you want!
Anyway, don't know if that's any use to you sweetpea.

Also Jojo is having it's pre Christmas Mega Warehouse Clearance in Newport sale store on Fri 28th & Sat 29th November if that's any good to anybody

spaghettiarms1 · 30/10/2014 18:18

Great minds there Reastie !

Elvish · 30/10/2014 18:24

A huge thank you to whoever it was who mentioned the Disney codes. I have always ignored them assuming that you would need millions to get anything worth having. I have just gone through the dvd stack and we have 700 points, more than enough for a free dvd Grin

Now I have to choose which one, does anyone know what the "best value" would be? I don't want my free film to be something that I could buy cheaply as I would like a bargain for free! Wink

EustaciaVye · 30/10/2014 18:24

Glad to be of service.
Also Eva Ibbotson books good for 8-11 year old I would say. And School For Good And Evil is my 10 yo's favourite book EVER.

EustaciaVye · 30/10/2014 18:26

Any ideas how I can get an Argos Design A Friend doll cheaper?

PeteCampbellsRecedingHairline · 30/10/2014 18:42

Hi, I've popped over here from the Mumsnet Swears by email. Are those scarves good quality?

Also I couldn't get the Flavourly beer code to work either. I found Fathert12 and got a a trial box for £3. Might be worth a try. Smile

waithorse · 30/10/2014 18:42

I bought a couple of Design A Dolls a couple of months ago for £4.99. Think they where retiring those particular dolls, so worth looking out for.

Elvish · 30/10/2014 18:45

Eustacia do you need 3 things by any chance? 342 shortly Wink

izzybizzybuzzybees · 30/10/2014 18:45

They are pete especially for the price!

SpottyTeacakes · 30/10/2014 18:46

I'm glad people are still getting the flavourly boxes. Possibly my only ever contribution in three years on the thread Grin

EustaciaVye · 30/10/2014 18:46

She wants design a friend India specifically. I will keep an eye out for another 342 though. I have bought most of my gifts though!

PeteCampbellsRecedingHairline · 30/10/2014 18:50

Thanks izzy. Off to have another look now.

Elvish · 30/10/2014 18:52

Pete, the scarves are decent quality. They feel soft and silky and I don't think anyone you gave one to would guess it was a cheap gift. They are about 5foot long by 2ft wide. I would wear one and if I don't use all the ones I have ordered as gifts I will do Grin

The only thing that I would improve about them would be to make them a bit longer. When you fold one in half to put round your neck and tuck through it's a bit short (hope that makes sense)
