Thanks to whoever posted about the named coke bottles (ages ago now!). I've just ordered them for SIL's family. There are only four of them though so I got the two other bottles (for free postage) to say Happy and Christmas. That and a nice big pannetone (sp?) from Costco for £5 means they're sorted now as we only do token gifts with SIL and BIL.

Truffle Shuffle have 20% off everything until Friday. I buy Chunk Star Wars tshirts here for geek DB. Code is TSOCT14

MooseyMoo · 27/10/2014 07:34

Who was after Jake & the Neverland Pirates Bucky? It's on Amazon lighting deals at 8am

kitty for dd's doctors bag I just bought a red satchel cool lunch bag - reduced from £12-£6 in tesco just now and because it's £5 off next shop if you spend over £40 it's basically £1. Looks fab.

Methenyouplus4 · 27/10/2014 08:27

Kips- I'm going back a month or so but Sports Direct had Heelys in for £30.

JingleSpud · 27/10/2014 08:34

Reastie

Thank you M'dear!

Its a 2 page spreadsheet with the cost of everything i've bought comparing RRP to actual cost on one page then the gift list on the next. And its all set up to automatically add up as i add in data thank fuck GSCE IT wasn't a complete waste 15 years ago

Howaboutthisone · 27/10/2014 08:42

How far in advance can you see what's in the amazon lightning deals?

izzybizzybuzzybees · 27/10/2014 08:47

I too ordered the stethoscope posted a while back. It doesn't work though. Was I hoping for too much??

pmcp15 · 27/10/2014 08:59

How do you find the lightning deals on Amazon

coffeetofunction · 27/10/2014 09:01
Smile
AriNi31 · 27/10/2014 09:01

At the top of the page there's a link to todays deals, then click on lightning deals. They usually show a day in advance but some do get added.

lucysmam · 27/10/2014 09:02

Where's the cheapest place to buy Joop edt? My dad would like a bottle of that for Christmas apparently Confused

(don't think he quite gets 'token gift for adults' and spend the rest on the kids)

Any help to find it as cheaply as possible would be good. Thank-you!

DaisyFlowerChain · 27/10/2014 09:12

Joop Nightflight is £9.95 on Amazon so would a token gift price or does it have to be the original?

jamtoast12 · 27/10/2014 09:24

Lucy

I've just ordered joop homme (the original) for £23.99 from amazon (see other sellers). This is the cheapest I've found for 125ml spray. Still only a bit cheaper than boots etc so not a massive bargain!

jamtoast12 · 27/10/2014 09:25

This us cheap though for 75ml

jamtoast12 · 27/10/2014 09:27

Sorry the latter is out of stock online.

306235388 · 27/10/2014 09:27

izzy I didn't order from a link on here but got one from amazon for a couple of quid and it works perfectly .

itwillbecold · 27/10/2014 09:51

izzybizzybuzzybees Is this the Ebay stethescope? It should work. The round piece (bell end) at the end rotates to open and close it.

If you haven't seen the other post from VampiresLoveNECKtarines, tesco club card boost is on now and covers a lot of their departments including toys and gaming. So if you have any club card vouchers, these are worth double for a limited time. I used my £90 worth to get an xbox 360.

KittyMouseRocks · 27/10/2014 10:19

Thanks 306 and eastmids - a lunch bag is a great idea!

Shamelessly laughing at bell endGrin

pmcp15 · 27/10/2014 10:25

This isn't really about Christmas bargains but could get you some money to ease Chrismas worries. Ther is a Warm Homes Discount Scheme which could get up to £140 if you are on pension credit, are disabled, have a disabled child or on low income and if your electricity provider is on the scheme. See www.gov.uk/the-warm-home-discount-scheme/eligibility. Unfortunately Northern Ireland companies have not joined but lots of ones on the mainland have. Hope this is of help to someone Smile

marne2 · 27/10/2014 10:25

I keep missing things on the lightening deals ( was after some cath kidston sets ). Just had a look on there today and they have a kids electric guitar, I have been watching this guitar for ages and it has been priced around £55, at one point it went down to £40, today when I click on it it's priced around £70 Shock just so it looks like a bargain at 12.15 when the price will probably drop to £50. Most of the lightening deals are a big con as they are priced high 24 hours before the deal to make it look like a bargain.

IgnoreMeEveryOtherFuckerDoes · 27/10/2014 10:36

Amazon lighting deals are like Argos, they like to inflate RRP before sale so google prices before you buy

PinkSquash · 27/10/2014 10:54

The scooters on the lightening deals went down to £20 on Monday as I got one then. You do have to be careful with them, I agree.
