Just to let you all know, a friend of mine has been researching making her own toys. During this research she has come across information that shows that just because something from China has a CE mark on it does not necessarily mean it has been tested, they are labeling things CE to represent it is a "china export"

Needtoemigrate · 25/10/2014 23:23

Had not gad!

WildFlowersAttractBees · 25/10/2014 23:24

West Brewery is definitely worth a visit. We went to a wedding there and had a ball.

AlwaysOneMissing · 25/10/2014 23:27

Can I ask what is so special about a micro scooter? Do I need to get these for my DC?!
How are they different to other scooters?

WildFlowersAttractBees · 25/10/2014 23:28

Last takeover post.... West have a new pub on Woodlands road near Dram which is another fab pub.

LottieAndTheDinosaur · 25/10/2014 23:36

Blondieminx · 25/10/2014 23:43

BHS code no longer working although there is still 5% cashback via quidco.

margaritasbythesea · 26/10/2014 00:01

ThaNks tirednow. I seem to be only able to get it to £11. Will fiddle with it later.

GerbilsAteMyCat · 26/10/2014 00:12

Here's some more on the CE marks.

I can see the two semi circles on the minecraft toys so I'm happy! Mind you the toys aren't going to babies or kids likely to eat them.

2kidsintow · 26/10/2014 00:25

B&M has Baileys Luxe Chocolate liqueur for £8. Quite a bargain compared to last year when it was £15+ everywhere.

306235388 · 26/10/2014 00:37

pamela what does the bacon jam taste like? Is it savoury ?

2kidsintow · 26/10/2014 00:44

I Neeeeeeed to find somewhere that sells dark chocolate tunnock's teacakes as they have made up part of MIL's christmas hamper every year and I don't want to miss this year despite them becoming unavailable at co-op and Morrisons.

duckbilled · 26/10/2014 00:49

Mama1980 Costco has really reasonable cabbage patch dolls.
2kidsintow My local Asda (quite a bog store) always has dark choc teacakes.
HTH

2kidsintow · 26/10/2014 01:12

Thanks, Duck. I shall check out my Asda this week. I would get them from the british food website, but the p&p is £4.40! That makes them far from bargainous.

Earlytorise · 26/10/2014 01:26

2kidsintow I saw tunnock's d/c teacakes in my local Poundland this week so might be worth checking in yours if you have no luck at Asda.

clr2014 · 26/10/2014 05:20

I got individual frozen cocktails ( bought unfrozen) from home bargains for 99p. Perfect for my mum's and my stocking... Also picked up a large rattly hula hoop for dd- it was only £1.99 but will look great beside her Santa sack on Christmas morn.

Elvish · 26/10/2014 06:12

Outtherelil the princess sparkle dolls have a moulded on bodice and removable skirt, so their clothes don't really come off. They are usually the cheapest Barbie size princess dolls so maybe avoid them!

MizLizLemon · 26/10/2014 06:43

Ebay currently have loads of Frozen nighties on starting at 1p no p&p, all ending in the next couple of days, I can't imagine they'll end up at more than a couple of quid each, worth a bid if you have a Frozen mad girl to buy for I think. They also have some minion hoodies starting at 1p with no p&p but I'd imagine they'll go for a bit more.

PamelaEwing · 26/10/2014 06:59

306 here is the blurb on bacon jam. DH spread it on morning toast but enjoyed it most with his beloved cheese and biscuits Grin

A smoky, sticky relish with bacon
Is it a jam, a spread or a relish?
When it tastes this good, who cares?
Jam it on some crusty bread or cheese
Spread it on your Sarnie or Burger
Relish it in pasta, pies or stews...
Or just stick a spoon in the jar and pig out

Elizabethtailored · 26/10/2014 07:15

Please could someone link to the good housekeeping offer again? Google is taking me to a blank page. Thank you.

Also-best ideas for DH stockings?! So far have badedas, fun socks, a cheese knife....

PamelaEwing · 26/10/2014 07:20

LOVE this Melissa & Doug wooden magnetic advent calendar. Fun & reusable every year! £10.40 in the Debenhams sale.

Notso · 26/10/2014 07:22

lucysmam they don't have the New York element but there are a few sets of stacking mugs in Dunelm Mill here

PamelaEwing · 26/10/2014 07:25

Use code DM23 for an extra 10% off at Debenhams and free click n' collect.

christmascazza · 26/10/2014 07:29

PX49 gives 20% off toys at Debenhams if you spend £25, works on top of sale prices. I like the wooden Melissa and doug advent calendar, also down to £10.40 but £8 odd if you buy other stuff to take up to £25.

cheesecheeseplease · 26/10/2014 07:29
