Melissa & Doug Alphabet Nesting and Stacking Blocks £6.99 on amazon lightning deals. Sorry I can't do the link on my phone

AllThatGlistens · 24/10/2014 11:37

I'm 90% finished now and need to slow down the shopping but I'm just so tempted by loads of stuff I don't need! It's October and I'm already twitching Blush

Is the Sainsbury's sale finished now? Might pop in for a browse later...
Grin

Theonlyoneiknow · 24/10/2014 11:44

My molton brown gift set didn't come in a box either :(

ShowMeShowMeTheWine · 24/10/2014 12:10

Can I ask - does anyone go to the summer and winter next sales? Instore? Is there much difference in attendance? I know it's a while away bit wondering how early to get there. Went for the first time in summer and got loads of stuff for dc. Got there about 40 mins before it opened and already loads of people there. Just wondered if Boxing Day is worse/same/better?

margaritasbythesea · 24/10/2014 12:16

Elvish's 'I've spent over £100 today and I'm not dressed yet'
Has tobe the next thread title grin

currieaddict · 24/10/2014 12:21

Spent a lot at disney a few weeks ago. Bah.

BuddyKringleberry · 24/10/2014 12:25

If anyone want to feel ultra Christmassy switch on QVC. The little tune they keep playing between items is giving me butterflies and making me feel all warm inside!

Only watching QVC as I'm sorting my DS2 wardrobe and moving the pressies i had stashed there after last nights present seeing debacle x

BuddyKringleberry · 24/10/2014 12:29

Gah was only watching QVC for the jingle and now I'm twitching for a wreath for the door. Damn they're good! X

TiredNow · 24/10/2014 12:30

Barbeasty TK Maxx are usually pretty good for dressing up stuff?

HelpMeGetOutOfHere · 24/10/2014 12:32

SHOWME- I'd say the boxing day sale is worse than the summer one. so much so I no longer go.

dandelionsRflowers · 24/10/2014 12:34

Crayola marker maker £11.99 in Argos sale, Amazon have matched it. Probably still expensive for what it is, it makes 16 pens, but dd needs one apparently Hmm

blizy · 24/10/2014 12:55

andadietcoke thanks for the toot toot heads up! I just bought some for my nephew.

Scaredycat3000 · 24/10/2014 12:57

Yamas You have a keyring, E shop (or something like that) on Amazon send one free in each order. We have quite a few.

GerbilsAteMyCat · 24/10/2014 12:59

Cheap Disney Infinity? Where????
I thought I got a good deal ordering it from Tesco with the SpiderMan pack for 65 using this code TDXR-WRTP for 15 off 75.
Haven't picked it up yet. They seem to be more expensive on the Disney site though:
Disney
Disney Infinity 2.0 Xbox 360 54.99
Tesco
Disney Infinity 2.0 Xbox 360 52

Disney
Disney Infinity Spiderman pack 34.99
Tesco
Disney Infinity Spiderman pack 28.00

Why am I spending so much on this crap?

GerbilsAteMyCat · 24/10/2014 13:04

ahhh I see it, Disney Infinity 2.0 for 39.99 on Amazon.
Gahhh
Only ever so slightly cheaper getting the two from Tescos.
Pesky Amazon!!

Elvish · 24/10/2014 13:06

Tanya is was this one the 10 foot is sold out but you might get a smaller one.

Elvish · 24/10/2014 13:09

Thanks Barbeasty I will have to check out John Lewis. I can see this being an expensive half term off work Grin

YaMasYaDaWithAWigOn · 24/10/2014 13:12

Ah thanks Scaredy, makes sense given the size of it. Bit pointless though, it's not even got their logo/company name on it.

SuchSweetSorrow · 24/10/2014 13:24

Love this thread, thank you everyone Flowers I am so disappointed those furry thows are no longer on offer!

Does anyone know of any book people codes? I have seen it's free delivery today but wondered if there were any more floating around!

SuchSweetSorrow · 24/10/2014 13:30

With the book people, there's a special edition combined gruffalo and gruffalo's child book with audio cd for £4. Sorry can't seem to link on phone. Various books including hardbacks for 2/3 pounds and sets of books in their flash sale. There's also a nice looking jigsaw book for £4
Free delivery on orders over £10 until midnight

Scaredycat3000 · 24/10/2014 13:36

Elvish This balloon book from The Works might be suitable. I own it, it's very simple, lots of pictures with minimal words, though my 5 yr old couldn't read it.

marne2 · 24/10/2014 13:46

Just popped into town to buy a new rug, popped into tk max and they had loads of good toys, lots of Melissa and Doug, monster high, MLP, science kits ( including a poor version of hot wires for 9.99 ) and loads of good books. I bought dd2 a Poppet secret diary thing for £2.99 and a mosaic set for £5.99.

Went into Sainsburys on the way back and picked up some half price play dough and some lego simpsons mini figures ( good stocking fillers ), not much else in there but I was surprised to see anything as they don't usually stock toys as it's a smaller store.

Wish I had checked on here before going to argos, though I would have probably spent too much.

tanya1312 · 24/10/2014 13:55

elvish ok thanks anyway

FlipFlippingFlippers · 24/10/2014 13:56

Asda have some gorgeous christmassy throws in and they were only £5! I'm going to get the dc the one covered in candy canes and gingerbread men as it is just so sweet.

bookcave · 24/10/2014 14:05

Poundland has packs of 6 make-your-own Christmas crackers in silver or gold. Hat, snap and joke slip included.
