Another who has been to the Sainsburys' sale. Got Octonauts Gup O for £11.99 and another artic pack for £6.99.

What is was good for was stocking fillers for my baby who'll be six months old at Christmas from Sainsburys' own range. I got a wooden book for 99p, wiggly wooden worm for 99p, wooden blocks and a tube of toy dinosaurs for £1.49. They also had stacking cups for the same price. Also if you're a nectar card holder then you can try what I did. Put a few bits through and paid for them, received a £3 off a £30 shop voucher. Then put the rest through and used the voucher.

bettythebuilder · 22/10/2014 12:06

The Works has got a flash sale today across the site, Code TODAY25 should give 25% off most things, and you can click and collect- annoyed as I went real life shopping last week and got dd lots of art stuff from there!

Had email from Clarins, it's their birthday so they're giving 6 free samples with every order on their website instead of the usual 3, might be useful if you're looking for something specific for someone that you love very much because their stuff is expensive

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 22/10/2014 12:09

Up n away exactly same octonauts toys we brought but that's because we have pretty much all the others!

Whilst in sainsburys check the baking aisle lots of odd bits reduced to 20p Inc football cake cases, football cake stand, pirate cupcake toppers, pirate paper party bags, princess paper party bags, coloured writing icing only blue left in ours, decorating bits like sprinkles n little balls.

Callofthewild · 22/10/2014 12:31

Gap have a further 20% off last price on all sale items in store today. Nothing in mens or womens worth buying in our local store but did pick up a couple of bits for DTD's.

YaMasYaDaWithAWigOn · 22/10/2014 12:31

The exclusive Pinkie Pie doll is a boutique(?) doll that has a special black and pink dress (I think that's right from memory, can't find a picture online).

IAlreadyToldYou · 22/10/2014 12:40

I've also been in sainsbury's. It was absolutely manic. They had a box of 4 orchard games for half price - £12.50 from £25.00. I picked it up as my dd loves the orchard games but when I had a look they were for younger children than her, I'd say for around 2/3 year olds who are learning to count to ten etc. From the top of my head there was a number puzzle, a 'spot' counting game, a snap/pairs game and one other that I can't remember.

other single orchard games were reduced, they had the rocket game and the cupcake game that I can remember.

Set of 4 doc mcstuffin puzzles for around £3.

my little pony 'pop' things were reduced and mlp plushes, I think to around £3 odd which is cheapest I've seen them.

They were refilling the shelves as a lot of them were empty so I am currently sitting in the cafe with a coffee and magazine and eill head back into the chaos in a bit to see if anything else has been put out.

Does anyone have any info on the tesco club card boost? I'm annoyingly part of the Christmas savers scheme so am I going to miss the double up? Was kind of counting on it to get a Hudl2 Sad Do you think there will be another boost before christmas? crosses fingers and toes

Just back from Sainsburys - got some MLP figures - the slightly taller crystal ones, Playmobil, Disney toddler figures (not the dolls but around Happyland size), one of their own dolls for half price (my youngest loves their own brand). Was alright but very very busy

ShowMeShowMeTheWine · 22/10/2014 12:54

Another one here with the 'delay' email from zavvi.
Went to sainsburys and wasn't impressed. Nothing for dd1's age (2.4) and don't need any baby/older toys. Ah well, think of the money saved. Why am I disappointed?! HmmGrin

marne2 · 22/10/2014 12:57

Is the hudl2 not on the boost? I bought it 2 weeks ago. They usually do the boost on Christmas decorations and some toys around November time ( they did last year ).

soundstrue · 22/10/2014 12:58

Helpme there is a PS4 deal that is listed on the tesco deals site that includes the games you want. Don't know how good a price it is. The tesco page is discounts.x10.MX/WP ( sorry can't get link to work but the previous post has a working link).

Feartheescalator · 22/10/2014 13:02

The sale at my local Sainsburys was great. I got a huge Barbie mermaid set for DDs to share as they are obsessed with H2O Just Add Water. I also got the glittery MLP deluxe pony for £2.40, pack of 5 shopkins for £3.74, half price baby moshies that come in cute little eggs and a whole family or unicorns for £7.50. They also had lego, lots of baby dolls, happyland ...

Limbinthesup · 22/10/2014 13:12

Argh - another one twitching at Sainsbos...but we've only just finished lunch and it's an hour walk across town and another back - and I can't really get anything big as then I'd have to carry it!
I was thinking that I haven't got anything for DD's advent calender, which has small drawers about 3cmx3cm. Does anyone have any ideas? I don't want to do chocolates as she has her Peppa Pig choc advent already! I was thinking bath bombs perhaps but she is only 3 and may try to eat them if excited Confused

Waitingonasunnyday · 22/10/2014 13:12

Helpmegetoutofhere
I got a good Tesco PS4 deal - console and Fifa 15 and Minecraft bundle for £349, then google for £15 off Tesco direct voucher.

There was a glitch to also get an Alien game but I couldn't get it to work for me (and didn't really want it anyway).

Used quidco so got some cashback, and club card points.

Best price I could find for what I want, and tbh I didn't want to hold on and hold on for a better deal as I think this is a fair price and didnt want to risk it going up.

AndHarry · 22/10/2014 13:15

Also just back from the Sainsburys sale. I was looking for a tub of normal Lego bricks but no luck. Picked up a kaleidoscope, wooden emergency cars and a doll outfit though as stocking fillers. The toy aisle was absolutely packed with people filling up big trolleys of toys. Two shoppers were working out of they had enough money to pay for everything and food Confused

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 22/10/2014 13:18

limb how about little toys eg finger puppets/hair clips/little figures like moshi monsters :-)

we are doing a Lego minifgure one or dd 6 (at mas) an dd 2 :-)

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 22/10/2014 13:20

I was tempted to go to Sainsburys today but couldn't fit it in with preschool/school runs so going tomorrow afternoon for a nosy after food shopping Grin

DuelingFanjo · 22/10/2014 13:21

frozen ribbon here you can get it even cheaper if you are prepared to bid

wigglesrock · 22/10/2014 13:25

Feartheescalator my dds love that show too. I almost bought that Barbie bath set, now I'm contemplating it again because evidently the 4 million mermaid Barbies we already have just aren't enough Smile

Limbinthesup · 22/10/2014 13:29

Hair clips are a great idea! She's not into moshi monsters, but having just looked on Amazon I've seen a 10 piece set that would fit perfectly and even if she doesn't know what they are she'll still enjoy them Grin
I double checked and Amazon don't seem to be price matching things mentioned on here.

Limbinthesup · 22/10/2014 13:30

Price matching from Sainsbos I mean!

HelpMeGetOutOfHere · 22/10/2014 13:39

thanks for the Tesco ps4 tips. Will heck it out. Only problem is have to use a credit card there as Halifax only gave me a silly electron card when my debit card expired??? and Tesco don't accept electron online.
