inchoccyheaven · 19/10/2014 16:35

Livingsocial have a scotch whisky tasting pack for £18 and gives you a £10 voucher to redeem against full sized product.

waithorse · 19/10/2014 16:36

Hope it works soon izzy. Thanks

zipzap · 19/10/2014 16:36

Tesco Photo (www.tescophoto.com) have half price on all their photobooks, calendars and posters. I've had their half price photobooks in the past and they've been great - and although they've now changed their supplier, I can't see that they would change it for somebody worse! (or check in a local tesco with a photo service otherwise for an indication of quality)

Offer ends 28/10/14.

zipzap · 19/10/2014 16:38

Forgot to say regarding the tesco photo offer - the fact you can pick it up free of charge from any tesco means that it can be a fair bit cheaper than lots of other places because they invariably end up charging several pounds in postage when doing big things like photobooks, posters or calendars!

itwillbecold · 19/10/2014 16:39

Thank You zipzap and elvish. I have ordered the pack of 10 for £5.86 Cake

summersanta · 19/10/2014 16:40

Right ~ pedals are coming off Wink! Thanks all

ChocolateWombat · 19/10/2014 16:46

RE riding a bike, my daughter learned this year at 8!
We found the council run 1-2-1 sessions with 3 hours for £20. Think they are mainly for adults who can't ride but they were happy to teach a child. Meant she got on a did it, without wailing which is what she did with us. No need for balance bike or removing pedals. Teacher was a bikeability (cycling proficiency) teacher and was FAB.
Check out your council website or ring them.
Well worth £20 for 3 hours individual tuition arranged to suit us.

ChocolateWombat · 19/10/2014 16:49

And thanks for the Molton Brown codes.
Got the 3xhandcream set for £15. Lovely!
Also got some new style finger lights with fibre optic tassels and some dinosaur eggs.
Will be returning to this thread for more ideas.
Thanks everyone. And remember, it's not a bargain, unless you have someone in mind to give it to. I need to remember that myself!

kids msgs

2kidsintow · 19/10/2014 17:06

Finally sorted on the 2 DC's big presents, which we budget about £100 for, then hope to get a bargain so the £100 pays for some of the smaller gifts too.

So I'm now hoping Amazon lightning deals when they start will cover a 3ds (pink) for DD2.

And am hoping that Tesco will do a double up voucher thing that will inc computers etc as DD1 would like (and make good use of) a new laptop, which will be part Christmas and part birthday present.

notenoughtogoround · 19/10/2014 17:06

ood linzer thank you Thanks

MooseyMoo · 19/10/2014 17:11

pigley I'm after the Lego windows & doors but it has been discontinued. It was £11 I think. I contacted Lego and they couldn't tell if/when there was going to be a new version. Just pointed me to their pick & mix page. I'm trawling Ebay in the hope of old stock. Really annoying as I think its an important part of lego. Especially when your DD loves making houses!

Hush have 20% off nightwear (plus free delivery). Quidco is 7% CB.

Titsalinabumsquash · 19/10/2014 17:35

PamelaEwing · 19/10/2014 17:46

Like last year, IKEA are apparently doing the "Buy a real Christmas tree for £25 and get a £20 Ikea voucher free as of 28th Nov (voucher has to be spent between 19th Jan and 8th Feb).

Jenni2legs · 19/10/2014 18:00

This thread is amazing. Thanks all.

OutThereLil · 19/10/2014 18:02

balance bikes are for toddlers.

We just took the pedal off 6yo dd1s bike and practiced, practiced, practiced.

It just takes time and effort.

Reastie · 19/10/2014 18:06

For those looking for dressing up, there were firefighters, nurses etc for £4.99 in the Kiddicare sale.

2kidsintow · 19/10/2014 18:16

Someone upthread did say that they thought that there was an awful lot of adverts in the national geographic kids. So I hunted down DD's copy from this month and can vertify that there were only about 6 pages of adverts in there. About average I think compared to other magazines.

I'm tempted by some of the Horrible History magazine issues on the 50% off site also linked on here. :) Still debating that one.

3pigsinblanketsandasausagerole · 19/10/2014 18:17
