I've done argos 3 for 2 a few times now and never struggled to get what I wanted

Reastie · 21/09/2014 10:23

I bought stamps like that last year buddy and I love them. I got mine from somewhere like English stamp company and they do them personalised with different backgrounds, you can choose the font and pattern eg holly or stars. Mine says happy Christmas love from Mr reastie, reastie, and little reastie. Saves me so much hassle writing who they are from on every gift and although it cost me around £20, I'll use it every year. Dr also likes stamping it all over Brown paper as wrapping paper

Reastie · 21/09/2014 10:24

Dd not dr obviously

kiwidreamer · 21/09/2014 10:29

Thanks for the screaming monkey link, got a monkey and a chicken for stockings... they have frog, pig, cow and a few other options at 1.99 delivered

3pigsinblanketsandasausagerole · 21/09/2014 10:32

Oooo off to look at other animals ty!

ValerieTheVodkaFairy · 21/09/2014 10:35

I like the stamps. This sounds stupid, but I take it you have to buy the ink separately?

WildFlowersAttractBees · 21/09/2014 10:41

Wibbly, I was in during the week and it was still a Christmas free zone. I did however get fab robot bedding (they had lots of girls bedding on sale too!).

Crutchlow35 · 21/09/2014 10:48

Does the argos 3/2 work if I say reserve items on Tuesday to collect later?

3pigsinblanketsandasausagerole · 21/09/2014 10:49

I think so crutch

CallingAllEngels · 21/09/2014 10:53

crutch I got caught out with reserving something on Argos to collect. Reserved Wed evening and went to pick up on Friday morning but they had only held for 24 hours so even though they would have honoured the price, they were all gone Sad

Do print out price/offer before going to collect.

Crutchlow35 · 21/09/2014 10:58

Thanks both.

TheImprobableGirl · 21/09/2014 11:20

I am going to sound thick (not unusual) so to clarify... It is all toys that argos sell... What about things that are two for thirty? Say £20 each and then it would be three for £40? And i can reserve the ings I want at not-3 for 2 but when I pick them up they will be 3 for 2? By only for 24 hours?

If anyone could confirm this for my poor addled brInthat would be lovely. In fact if someone wants to take my list and shop for me while my demon child lovely 5 month old squeals all day... That would be lovelier [coffee]

TheImprobableGirl · 21/09/2014 11:21

Addled brain... Not briIn Hmm and Brew not [coffee]

3pigsinblanketsandasausagerole · 21/09/2014 11:22

I think

3 for 2 overrides other offers eg 2 for £30

aNd I think you should be able to reserve on tue to collect on wed and get 3 for 2

kimlo · 21/09/2014 11:25

Another daft question about argos, does the 3 for 2 count dressing up clothes as tots?

TheImprobableGirl · 21/09/2014 11:34

Good question kimlo !

3pigsinblanketsandasausagerole · 21/09/2014 11:37

I would have thought so. If they are in the toy section of the catalogue?

CallingAllEngels · 21/09/2014 11:39

Love the look of the English stamp company reastie !

Thick non-stamper question...how long do the ink pads last for? (or how long till they dry out).

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/09/2014 11:43

I hope this photo works. M&S 20% off code until Tuesday.

Where do you all get your Christmas jumpers? I'm finally giving in to my shameful desire to wear thick woolly things with baby penguins and reindeer on the front...

kiwidreamer · 21/09/2014 11:51

Just saw this easel on a Costco email, it looks really lovely if you have a toddler / pre schooler that you are buying for...

waithorse · 21/09/2014 11:51

Yes it does Kimlo. Smile

Reastie · 21/09/2014 11:56

for anyone interested this is where I got my christmas tag I'm afraid I can't remember if it came with ink, if I had to say I think I bought it separately.

zipzap · 21/09/2014 12:19

3062and some more numbers I can't remember*
Ds is 9 and last year I made him an advent calendar with football cards - I bought a tin that had 50? 100? in (cheaper to buy than per pack of 10) and a pack of cheap white envelopes, and split them up between envelopes numbered 1-23, then used the tin and the ultra rare one and a separate new pack of 10 as number 24.
His gran had given him a chocolate advent calendar so I stuck a post it note on that each day with a silly clue as to where the next envelope was hidden, so there was a bit of a treasure hunt element to it which he loved too.

He's already asking if he can have one again this year Grin and it worked out much cheaper than a Lego or playmobil advent calendar which he has had previously (and I've always thought I managed to get a good deal on those as I've never paid more than half price for them!).
