The book 'The Jolly Christmas Postman' is back up for sale by a few retailers. I've had a look about and it's about £9 plus p&p pretty much everywhere, so can I put a plea out please, for everyone to buy it from Hive? You still get a good price but it also supports local bookshops and sellers while you're doing it.

Just been to Tesco and the travel games are all £1.75 normally£7 I got 3 guess who and a cluedo great for present stash for parties. 4yr old also got some crappy Mike knight toy reduced to £2.50. Was other toys Mr tumble soft toy £2 (that guy freaks me out), mega block head things £2, lego fire set £12.50, hello kitty bike seat cover £1.62, mechanic pop up play tent £5

Was other stuff but that's what I can remember just on normal shelves or end of toy aisles.

coffeetofunction with Aliexpress, it sounds to me that the high price you saw for the onesies could've been for multiple items. Some sellers sell items in wholesale batches, so you have to search around for sellers that are happy to sell just one.

Also worth noting that when you look at the main stock photo on the main page of the listing, open up the listing to view the photos and description as sometimes they cheekily show an enticing picture on the main title page to draw you in, then when you open up the listing and read/view more, you find that what you will 'actually' get is a little different. Ive only noticed this with dolls so far, but you never know, best to double check!

At Asda they have bottles of Chateauneuf du Pape on reduced to clear for £4 down from £16.50. I don't think I've ever paid £16.50 for it but £4 is a bargain as it's a FIL favourite.

Used our popcorn maker for the first time last night and it was fab!!!

If anyone can recommend a good way of flavouring the popcorn that would be great. Plain old salt and sugar just falls to the bottom of the bowl!!

Melt butter, pour over popcorn, sprinkle on sugar. Voila!

Also they had lace tape stuff which could be handy for wrapping? The 99p store also had bags of marshmallow snowmen which would be nice for snowman soup?

dangerousmouse - I've just been looking at the Debenhams luggage on the sale. There's lots that has 70-80% off making it quite reasonable - a large duffle bag on wheels for £39 instead of £135, matching rucksack £19 instead of £50, matching large/medium cases for £45/£42 instead of £150/£140 - all navy with a pink leaf print on which should make it easy to spot against a sea of black suitcases...

It's also the sort of thing that might be a nice present - you can get a wheeled suitcase/duffle bag and piece of hand luggage set for barely more than the hand luggage should cost on its own.
