HI all long time lurker and first time poster - see when you guys order from Aliexpress do you change currency from USD to GBP? Im looking to order for Christmas how soon do you think I should order?

Ill post a few bargains ive found - mostly for stocking fillers from Amazon :)

flynn I think I would order sooner rather then later. All of my bits have arrived within 2-3 weeks, but I guess the wait times may get longer now as normal people start thinking ahead to christmas.

Flynn as I understand it the what currency you pay by is a credit card issue. If you pay by £ the amount you are charged by Ali is what you get billed by your credit card. If you pay by any foreign currency you may get a currency converter charge and are at the will of whatever exchange rate the credit card decide to charge you, just like when you go on holiday. Disclaimer I haven't been abroad in years and creditcard rules have changed quite a bit recently. So I play it safe by picking GBP, I know exactly what I'm paying.

I have a tracking number for a parcel which appears to be coming from china. So they are likely knock offs or seconds from factory. I will update again when they arrive. It does look like I will get something though!

Know it was a while ago, so may have been sorted by now but someone was asking about little tea sets in a tin. Have just seen red and white spotty ones for £4.99 in Home Bargins. They also had a Peppa Pig set for £1.99 but it wasn't in a tin.

While I was there managed to get DS1 an Angry Birds game for £5.99 and Angry Birds erasers for a bargainous 19p - perfect for stocking fillers. Struggling a bit for stocking stuff for DS2, who will just have turned two but got him a two weebles for£1.99 which is a start.

Mine does that every now & again. Coming out of aliexpress & going back later seems to make it behave & show my basket total in pounds. Not a flippin' clue how! It kept kicking me off desktop onto mobile as soon as I clicked an item this morning. Gone back to it this afternoon & it's showing everything on desktop & in pounds

In my sainsburys today they had bags of Lego Chima reduced from about £12 down to £3.90. I bought the lot but I'm sure other stores will have them too

Ship to / GBP / Select Language

And make sure it says GBP and save. If you mean at the check out along the top of the payment box the yellow bar has a coin on it, click on that and pick GBP, that's the one you actually pay in, the important bit. Hope that helps.
