Argh. That was supposed to say tewi not rewi.

Stupid autocorrect - I've never heard of the word rewi to suspect that autocorrect would even be thinking of changing it!!

TeWiSavesTheDay · 03/09/2014 12:06

:D

Sprinkles would be good - or glace cherries?

siblingrevelryagain · 03/09/2014 12:43

Some possible boy and man stocking fillers/school party pressies from Sports Direct - I'm using the superman/batman snoods for school pals, and footie supporter scarf and hat (in relevant team colours) for Xmas with money/voucher for nephews etc..

Apologies if the links don't show; I'm attempting the fancy-pants ones so will re-post if they don't work!

Batman snood £4

Superman snood £4

Supporter scarf £1.99-2.99

Supporter hat £2

zipzap · 03/09/2014 13:33

tewi - or both. And squirty cream. (which autocorrect wanted to call squishy cream Grin)

I love glacé cherries. They were always tightly rationed when I was little, saved for special things. When I went away to Uni one of the first food items I bought was my very own tub of glacé cherries to indulge whenever I wanted. Plus a tub of angelica which came out even more rarely than the cherries! Now I have the urge to go rummage in the cupboards to have a glacé cherry. Just because I can and because this thread has Reminded me of them and now I want one Grin

TeWiSavesTheDay · 03/09/2014 13:41

I have lovely childhood memories of glace cherries for a treat.

I bought some to make a pineapple upside down cake recently and DH was properly horrified at me eating them out the jar. Apparently it's disgusting to eat them raw.

I made sure I shared plenty with the DC Wink

WildFlowersAttractBees · 03/09/2014 14:02

TeWi THESE spoons are good if you are making up a few although almost £2 each.
THESE ones are just plain but ideal. I have also ordered them for tassimo lattes!

Gatekeeper · 03/09/2014 14:14

Reastie · 03/09/2014 15:22

Aww baby Sven, he's adorable!

I gave in and ordered the map book thanks to who posted about it. Thanks

I thought the book people were bound to have it cheap too so could get it later but it was something like £16.99 on there!

VoldemortsNipple · 03/09/2014 17:21

My coke has arrived today while I was at work in a bright red Coca-Cola box. I swiftly hid it when I came home but ds2 who has been home an hour longer keeps asking what the coke is for. Of course I've denied all knowledge of it Grin

Neeko · 03/09/2014 17:26

Thanks for the new thread. Thanks
Not been on for a couple of days. Hope there's some bargains left Grin
My gloves and hats from the joules outlet came the other day. Really pleased with them so thanks to whoever sent me there.

Badvoc123 · 03/09/2014 17:26

Map books?
Can anyone link please?

AliceLidl · 03/09/2014 17:37

The map books were these, not sure who linked them first, but they look lovely.

Keepcalmanddrinkwine · 03/09/2014 17:43

Pictures The ISME code can be used against Slushy Cups, Ice Cream Makers, Jelly cups or yoghurt cups (or Converse for you, which is what a few of us are doing). :)
PM me your email and name (sorry) if you want one.

imip · 03/09/2014 18:04

I've been on holidays for a week, it's been lovely to catch up!

I've ordered more zoology books for the present cupboard. The same author has an even BETTER book called Almost Everything, but it is not discounted... Thanks for the map book link, purchased for one of the dcs, have had my eye on it...

I've just found this one also, nice present, Especially for those not actually in London here

ipswichwitch · 03/09/2014 18:07

Thanks Norks, been thinking about getting an Olaf too. DS -I- would love a baby Sven. He's a bit reindeer mad as they have them at the farm near us and he says they are all called Sven. Even the ladies! Grin
I'm giving him the DVD and hopefully a Sven for his birthday soon, and possibly putting an Olaf in a Christmas Eve hamper.

HopeAndStories · 03/09/2014 18:19

Thanks for the new thread Thanks

I've ordered these popcorn boxes, 8 for £1.49 to go in some 'movie night hampers' I'm doing for nieces and nephews.

Also, I was just doing an online food shop at Tesco and they are giving 25% off 6 bottles of wine. Thought it'd be good for either gifts or just for over Christmas or to enjoy whilst everyone else is running round like headless chickens in the run up and we're sitting with our feet up Wink

Random request, but if anyone sees any county maps (mainly Staffordshire) really cheap, please could you send me the link as I need loads for some gifts that I'm making, ta Thanks Also, cheap hampers/boxes, and I know others are looking for those too, so I'll post if I find any cheap ones.

NorksEnormous · 03/09/2014 18:23

Found it Ipswich! Couldn't find it earlier as for some reson it's listed under adult sven, but it is actually baby sven. Here he is baby sven

We ordered them last Wednesday night so they took exactly one week to arrive Smile

Keepcalmanddrinkwine · 03/09/2014 18:25

I totally forgot to say, if you're ordering from Isme (or anyone like that) remember to use click and collect to save delivery charges.
