The Christmas threads have introduced me to that wonderful website, but it's so big I get a bit overwhelmed by it! What have you bought?

So far in my basket I have:
On Wednesdays we wear pink beanie from Mean Girls, for DD
Minecraft teddies for DD and Nephew
Random ball thingy stocking filler
Zara rip off shirt for me
Mike sleepsuit for new baby, due December

What else can I buy??

BreakOut has your Zara style shirt come yet? Probably not. Love the look of it, I'm just mystified by the size chart

I'm going to be unpopular here but I haven't bought anything because I don't do knock off either, I get really shirty about people copying DVDs and things as well.

Its not the child labour thing either, I just don't like the whole counterfeit /copy thing.
Quite prepared to get an earful for it but it is not something I will engage with, and I'm actually glad it's been brought up because I didn't want to make it an issue on the bargains thread but it isn't a real bargain if it's a fake is it. And quite possibly whatever's in it isn't very highly regulated (ingredients )

But yknow, Each to their own and all that.

I don't think it is hypocritical - we all have our set budget for buying stuff at Christmas - I'd rather not buy rip-off counterfeit goods which I KNOW are likely to have been made under unsavoury conditions. It is more likely the goods I do buy have been made in regulated factories - so I buy less and it costs more.

Everyone has their financial cut-off point - where their needs have to balance with what they will do, or sanction, in order to meet them.

What counterfeit rip offs? Look at my original list on page 1 of this thread. They are originals, most of the stock is original designs. Some of the stock is over runs, say Zara ask for 1000 shirts to be made, they make 1100 just to allow for any problems, at the end they are left with 100 shirts and sell these locally in bulk, who sells them on Aliexpress. So what's wrong with that? It's standard practice. Where do you think market stalls get whole rails of clothes from C&A or similar? You have no idea what you are talking about. Lots of people are buying the Frozen dresses on Ali, it is exactly the same as the Frozen dress at The Entertainer. Do you honestly think The Entertainer would risk selling dodgy stuff? All shops selling Disney stuff that isn't a Disney store have to buy their stock somewhere, where do you think they buy it from?
And finally, the parent company are about no float on the New York Stock exchange, this could not happen if the entire company was based on illegal goods.

I found this great site Thieve that gets all the best stuff from all the sellers on aliepxress and puts them into categories like baby clothes. It has been super helpful for me. it cuts all the time wading through al the junk on aliexpress! has anyone else tried it?
