The Christmas threads have introduced me to that wonderful website, but it's so big I get a bit overwhelmed by it! What have you bought?

So far in my basket I have:
On Wednesdays we wear pink beanie from Mean Girls, for DD
Minecraft teddies for DD and Nephew
Random ball thingy stocking filler
Zara rip off shirt for me
Mike sleepsuit for new baby, due December

What else can I buy??

If you buy from different sellers than I assume its all dispatched as seperate orders?
Lots I liked but i wonder would a Klaxon go off in customs if I had 13 different packages coming Grin

This top. I absolutely love it. And it's machine washable. Size up by the way.

Minion t shirt. Again, size up.

This watch Not the bonniest.

Toy Story Rex. Quite big.

Toy Story Lego figures for advent calendar.

I have recently ordered a dress for me and Christmas pj's for kids. Will report back when they arrive.

Elizadoesdolittle · 02/09/2014 22:20

I've bought an Elsa dress, Anna plush, sven plush, frozen wall sticker and a tomliboo plush. Only ordered yesterday so can't confirm speed of delivery, quality etc. I just hope they are here for Xmas. Failing that DD1's birthday is in middle of Jan so by then would be fine too.

freedom2post · 03/09/2014 20:26

Toy story Lego toys - how was the quality?

Anyone ordered different minifigures that were good quality?

Have ordered 50cm Frozen dolls which were fantastic. They took a week.

Also ordered barbie style Frozen dolls which I thought were poor quality but are only for birthday cakes so will be fine. Took about 4 weeks.

Have Olaf toys on way to me!

WeAllHaveWings · 03/09/2014 21:25

Minecraft plush x 7
Minecraft key rings x 10

Hope he's still into mine-craft by Xmas!

For my DS who is CRAZY about Road Sweepers :)

snappybadger · 04/09/2014 13:42

I've bought this Frozen top for ds (although paid a lot less for it than it currently is showing) and it's really nice. It took less than 2 weeks to arrive.

Also ordered this Frozen t-shirt from the same seller but it's 100% polyester not cotton as was described when I bought it (description has since been changed) and pretty grim looking material. Think I might complain about it actually.

Yama · 04/09/2014 17:37

Freedom - the Lego Toy Story toys are quite good. Not actually Lego but compatible with.

I have bought a lovely fabric advent calendar and they are going to be used for that.

FrOZenKidS · 04/09/2014 19:31

I'm clearly doing something wrong as everything I search (spiderman/ladies shoes/dolls) all return no item found??? Confused

notapizzaeater · 04/09/2014 19:36

I've had about 60 + parcels (including some very good quality fake uggs) and I've not had anything stopped at customs.

freedom2post · 05/09/2014 10:29

Thanks yama. I think I will order some.

Do you know the seller's name ypu bought from?

Yama · 05/09/2014 18:21

Freedom - just click on the link from my first post.

waitingforgodot · 08/09/2014 18:32

I've just ordered a couple of things from different sellers. So what do I do now? Just wait for them to be delivered? I thought I read somewhere you need to release the goods or something but maybe misread that bit.

excited99 · 08/09/2014 19:42

I have tried to order an Elf on the Shelf, it is about a quarter of the price of Amazon, i have since received an email saying my order has been closed because I need to verify my account, including providing a copy of a bank statement, is this correct?

notapizzaeater · 08/09/2014 22:42

Never been asked for anything like that ?

excited99 · 09/09/2014 11:42

Thanks, I'm glad that I double checked.

Scaredycat3000 · 09/09/2014 14:02

That sound's odd Excited.
Waiting You just sit back and wait, you can check progress in 'your orders'. You only need to keep an eye on when the protection time runs out, usually 60 days, and you get a couple of emails to remind you.

waitingforgodot · 09/09/2014 20:26

ooh cool! Thanks Scaredy

nickdrakeslovechild · 09/09/2014 21:52

these frozen mini figures set arrived today. Fantastic to go on the top of a Frozen themed cake.

snappybadger · 09/09/2014 23:44

Just an update on the situation with my Frozen t-shirt (in case anyone is interested!) that was advertised as 100% cotton but was actually 100% polyester and pretty grim. I contacted aliexpress (really simple through my online account) and explained the problem. The seller didn't have a problem and my money was refunded for the item. I offered to return the top but didn't want to pay for postage, but seller declined, so I didn't have to.

Very good customer service. I would use the seller again as the other top was nice, and I think it was just a mistake in the advert as they've since changed it to show the correct material.

JustAShopGirl · 10/09/2014 08:45

but surely this is just buying cheap rip-off counterfeit goods from China - where it may have been made in unregulated sweatshops by people who are desperate.

Does not make me think of a happy Christmas.

Vintagebeads · 10/09/2014 09:01

I dont feel one bit bad about not lining Disney pockets. The Disney stuff is also made in China and Vietnam..must have special non sweat shop disney factoriesHmm

JustAShopGirl · 10/09/2014 09:34

I don't buy Disney either.

I just feel I must raise at least a little objection when people are lauding sites that sell really cheaply from China where kids younger than mine are working in places for 2 meals a day (modern day slavery).

Scaredycat3000 · 10/09/2014 14:46

I was going to post links to articles, television programmes and other information about how fixing the third world is not as simple as stop buying from Aliexpress Just.
But no I'm sure you can explain to me what will happen to all these people, not just children but their whole families and communities if we stopped buying goods from their country and the manufacturing export industry collapsed?
And
Where do I buy goods that I can guarantee that no child labour has been used at any point, from planting and harvesting of all raw materials right the way though to the shop floor and how will I afford to pay?

I'm not saying the situation is right, but it's a bit naïve to think anything we buy is 100% moral. It is regularly shown how designer goods are made in the same factory as high street stuff.

Vintagebeads · 10/09/2014 16:16

Its a bit hypocritical though unless your all kitted out in ethically sourced toys and clothes which if you shop in toy shops and on the high st is unlikely.
