Thread four already.

As previously, if you shot a link in the OP links isn’t working/no longer in date, please let me know by posting in bold so I can easily see to update Thanks

Ahem, I can’t actually remember if I updated the links from 2 threads ago. I think I have, but I’m not sure. If you spot any links that don’t work and you’ve already told me please tell me again in bold Thanks and sorry.

I've managed to get as far as half way through the last one (I know, I know, could do better) so if there's anything you think from the last thread that got missed off please let me know and I'll amend for next one.

Hello all - was here last year but probably had another name, lose track myself . . .

Last year there were personalised pencils which I need again, but everywhere has p+p that is a bit much - anyone seen free delivery?

ASOS have a lot of decent stuff - if you want a particular brand, just add 'sale' at the end in the search. I wouldn't risk non-branded for teenagers Sad.

My local outfit had lots in the Burton/Top Man sale bit for much cheapness yesterday - Xmas socks for 50p, packs of three boxers for £3, jumpers for £6. Don't see much like that online but local stores will probably all have it.

NorksEnormous · 19/08/2014 10:46

Oh buddy DS will LOVE those masks!
Thanks for the link to the frozen dolls too, although it was more the toddler dolls I was looking for as dd is only 2. Will have a look around Ali express!

BrucieTheShark · 19/08/2014 10:54

Anyone who did the taste card + free tablet like me - make sure you ring up and cancel the repeat subscription for next year.

You don't have to wait, you can do it straight away but still keep the year's membership and tablet.

But if you forget, they will take the money automatically next year and I think it's around £100 full price. Beware!

scrappydappydoo · 19/08/2014 11:53

Not quite a bargain but if you're a frozen fan and creeped out by the elf on a shelf but like the idea - hide and hug olaf looks like a good alternative.

Just for information about Air China shipping times - I bought something (off Amazon)and got an email on 31/07 saying it was shipped, it's just arrived today (UK) 19/08. Postmark is hard to make out but I think it is stamped 02/08. So looks like about 20 days for stuff from China fyi.

lucysmam · 19/08/2014 12:17

I'm going to have to load up aliexpress on the laptop, I can't work out how to change it to pounds on my phone Confused

I have found a dress though for dd1...$13.99...whatever that is in pounds.

yumyumpoppycat · 19/08/2014 12:31

what about shipping costs ...I ordered a tshirt for dp last year which was over £15 and got £10 customs added on when I collected it from post office.

EvilHerbivore · 19/08/2014 12:54

Looking for a nice hat (preferably beanie) and scarf set in black for DP (don't need gloves, will get some touch screen ones) has anyone seen any?

BuddyKringleberry · 19/08/2014 13:00

Today was the first time I've ordered from Aliexpress, crossing fingers I don't incur customs charges.

Supposedly the seller ticks a box on the label saying it's a gift and then you don't get charged. Hope my sellers don't forget, I spent £60 on there today x

LottieAndTheDinosaur · 19/08/2014 14:15

I received DD's birthday dress today which I ordered from AliExpress at end of June.

I ordered size 4T and she is in age 3-4. It fits just fine around the chest/back (bit of extra room if anything) but it is really short and actually DD is small for her age. It will be fine with leggings but I'm not holding out much hope that I ordered the right size Frozen dresses now!

iloveholidays · 19/08/2014 14:28

Right, back from summer hols & chomping at the bit to start Christmas planning so I'm shamelessly marking my place

Hi everyone Smile

MooseyMoo · 19/08/2014 14:54

Went into Sainsburys today for the 25% off TU clothing. I didn't realise but some of the jeans & hoody I'd picked up for DS were half price then had further 25% off so they were £3.75.

After months of eyeing up the wooden food processor, it was finally reduced to £4.99. Also got a Sofia figure for £3.74 and a Triceratops soft toy for £4.60 (third off both)

£4 for a hard cover photo book.

Adviceonseizures · 19/08/2014 15:13

Where the jeans marked up as being half price MooseyMoo ?

Just back from sainsburys and I got a superman costume and a captain america costume for £4.50 each as they were half price plus the 25% off too. They weren't marked up as being half price though.

MooseyMoo · 19/08/2014 15:26

No, the jeans were just with the other trousers.

MooseyMoo · 19/08/2014 15:30

yamas Thanks for Lion King DVD tip

Steamedbamboo · 19/08/2014 16:27

Brilliant toy sale on at House of Fraser at the moment - just bought £100 of toys for £40, including delivery!

Where are all these Sainsbury's with dressing up stuff? Been to several now, covering 80 miles, and there's barely anything. Nor Asda. I'm hoping once the school uniform clears they'll fill some of the space with dressing up things.

Having not bought some disney DVDs a few weeks ago when they were reduced, I got cars and another blu ray for £7 each on Amazon for DS earlier.

And for Frozen fans, I was looking at sing along Frozenthe other day and our local theatre was £9 a ticket. Took DD for her first ever trip to the cinema this morning- odeon kids club this week was sing along Frozen at £2.50 a ticket. I don't mind going at that price.

Adviceonseizures · 19/08/2014 17:30

I went to the sainsburys in Bolton. They had lots of dressing up outfits. They had pirate boy and girl outfits, and all the marvel superheroes and superman. I don't know if they are all reduced though. I checked the boys pirate outfit at our sainsburys and it wasn't reduced but superman and captain America was. Didn't check the rest.

Adviceonseizures · 19/08/2014 17:31

Thank you MooseyMoo I'll have to take a few pairs to customer services and ask them to scan them. Is there anything on the jeans that will make them easier to identify?

JohnnyDeppsfuturewife · 19/08/2014 17:35

Not sure if this has been mentioned but I saw some reduced toys in sainsburys today. I bought a friends Lego set with 25% discount. They also had some Lego Star Wars sets. The dress up toys weren't reduced. Maybe all sainsburys have different sales? Very annoying.
