Its my DD's 6 birthday in a few weeks and she really wants a big bead set for making jewellery. Has anyone come across one?

daddykyller · 27/07/2014 16:34

@wibblyjelly These things are ace for that kind of thing:

8 Key Spring Go Karts Car Boys Toys
£1.99 for 8 cars with key launchers :)

wibblyjelly · 27/07/2014 16:43

ooo, thanks daddy, just bought some Grin

thatgirloverthere · 27/07/2014 17:24

Isabella does she want the tiny beads where you get 1000's of them or the chunky ones? Melissa and Doug do a good set or try thetoyshop.com - this one is good www.thetoyshop.com/Arts-and-creative-play/Beads/Jacks-Sparkling-Bead-Set/p/510511

hope that helps

Just found the dog bag, and a cat one too even cheaper 79p! Ordering one for mil (dog) and one for mum (cat).

I was in the pound shop today and they had fab playdoh sets, Monster High mini top trumps and cute squinkies sets, that came with a case, a choice of diamond, handbag, seashell or tiara. Great for stocking fillers or to bulk out the pile if your child is having an expensive gift, My 6 year old is getting a bike so she will also get a small santa sack of £1 shop or Home bargains things, although I generally just buy the branded things or arts and craft stuff, i'm keeping my eye out for the Toy Story Squinkies in the £1 shops as My 6 year old dd would love those!

EvilHerbivore · 27/07/2014 18:22

Not Toy Story but Aliexpress does have Marvel squinkies here for £2.99

NorbertDentressangle · 27/07/2014 19:21

The Joules Clothing Outlet on ebay has some lovely looking slipper boots (in blue or pink stripes) for £4.95 including P&P.

(search for "Joules Womens Slippersock Stylish Sock Slippers In Blue Or Pink Stripe" and you'll find them)

wigglesrock · 27/07/2014 19:25

I was in my local B&M today and they had a 3 pack of hamper baskets, they fitted inside each other, so you could do different sizes. They were about twelve pounds for the 3 I think, they had handles.

TenMinutesEarly · 27/07/2014 19:56

I managed to get some Toy Story Squinkies they are fab. Got series one two and three. Caved and gave ds and dd series one today but saving the others for stockings. Ds would love the marvel ones. Going to keep checking the pound shop in case they get them in. Or order from ali express Grin

Slipslipslippy · 27/07/2014 21:08

What are squinkies?

SpottyTeacakes · 27/07/2014 21:11

I've still got squinkies left over from last years bargain thread Blush they'll be great for this year Grin

Slipslipslippy · 27/07/2014 21:29

But what are they spotty?! Hmm

TenMinutesEarly · 27/07/2014 22:05

Small squishy figures in little plastic balls. My dc love them.

Rosvita · 27/07/2014 22:07

slip not sure if it's the best description but they're like little collectible squishy figures about te size of a 5p piece that come in their own ball that opens up (like what you get in a gimbal machine only smaller) and you can also buy squinkie 'dispensers' which normal come with some squinkies and a few plastic 'coins'-you can store the squinkies in the dispenser and putting a coin in and turning the dial on it dispenses a squinkie.

Slipslipslippy · 27/07/2014 22:25

I think dd2 would live squinkies based on that description!

Can u take the figure out once it's opened? And then can you put it back?

JerseySpud · 27/07/2014 22:50

Mr Pencil for Leappad

For all those who bought the cheap leap pads, this game is £5.73

Full price is around £20

Those Aliexpress Squinkies are out of the packet, i.e. probably out of the little balls, the same seller has ones in the balls for a few pence more here they have perfect reviews and different discription.
I've bought these out of packet before, I suspect from the same seller via ebay. OH describes them as from skip diving, if not in the packet they are probably rejects and some one has gone though the factory bin. Half of them seem perfect, the other half might have a hand on the wrong way or smudged paint. All of them my DC still enjoy. They also have loose Playmobil people which clearly state imperfect, they wouldn't send you broken ones though, nothing a 3 yr old would probably even notice.
I wouldn't be put off, just read the description.

Reastie · 28/07/2014 08:01

spotty me too! I've also got a box load of zhu zhu bits for this year too.

lifeissobusy · 28/07/2014 08:49
