Just been to Claire's Accessories at Chatham dockyard. It is an outlet centre so not sure if it is the same in normal shops but they were doing 10 items for £5

I got 50 pounds worth of stuff for a fiver!

Just ordered the National Geographic Infopedia 2014 for £3.60 and 125 True Stories of Amazing Animals for £2.80 (Amazon Prime) :).

3 for £30 on little tykes toys at asda (they have much much more in store!)

This seems to be a fairly good deal, as all little tykes stuff I can see elsewhere online is more than £10 each!

and @beanynamechange -I've had those batteries from the same place- got the smaller pack, but would recommend the larger one as they are better value if you know you will be using them anyway. It's the same batteries we get in at work- the duracell procell batteries are pretty much the same as other duracell from the supermarkets

50 DURACELL PROCELL 30 AA + 20 AAA BATTERY ALKALINE PROFESSIONAL BATTERIES for £12.49 makes it less than 25p per duracell battery- That's pretty good for those :)

Pickle we don't have the house but bought some furniture sets (quite chunky) from Lidl a couple of years back. IIrc, they were a fiver a set for bathroom/bedroom/kitchen. The same onescrop up every now and again still so might be worth keeping an eye on the lidl app or nipping in to see what's on the aisle of randomness

Someone said to me "what if they don't like Frozen anymore at Christmas?" Surely that couldn't happen could it?!

I don't suppose any of you have seen any cheap writing sets on your travels suitable for a little girl pen-pal-ing? (the sort that comes with paper and envelopes - I put writing sets in amazon & got a load with different varieties of pens or practise writing books for kids which is not what I'm after)
