Phew that was hard!

MooseyMoo · 12/05/2014 21:02

Woo hoo 2014 bargains thread!

I didn't have to buy anything for DD's bday - all already in the loft Smile

I've also been collecting the Daily Mail Lego. Here's the list of Lego polybags ( scroll to bottom of page)

tumbletime · 12/05/2014 21:11

This thread sounds great! I would never normally start preparing for Christmas this early but after spending a fortune that we didn't really have last year I will be watching this thread with interest to learn how to do it on a budget!

littlegreengloworm · 12/05/2014 21:20

You're right tumble, also it will leave a few pound to do some nice stuff like treat yourself at Christmas markets or have lunch out rather than panic buying.

Tinkerisdead · 12/05/2014 21:23

This hot diamonds necklace is half price at 40.00 if anyone wants something special.

I bought the earrings for 30.00 last week and now they've shot to 60.00 but this necklace is still a good deal

There were some good deals at the weekend on Hobbit and Lord of the Rings Lego at Toys R Us.

Some down to half price.

Loved your threads last year Reastie.

HermioneWeasley · 12/05/2014 21:35

I am ridiculously happy that the bargain threads are back! We had our best Xmas ever with these last year

FrantasticO · 12/05/2014 21:39

Joining!!!!
Had a great time grabbing bargains last year...bring it on!

Morrisons has clothes sale on for now, lots of kids clothes and slippers, might be useful!

MrsBungle · 12/05/2014 21:42

Hooray! Last years thread was brilliant. I'll look out for bargains.

BurdenedWithGloriousPurpose · 12/05/2014 21:45

I've bought a bit. Some hobbit lego and stocking fillers and some dinosaur stuff.

But this year my eldest will be 10. Such an awkward age. Not so into toys but not into "grown up" stuff yet either. Has gadgets galore.

So no idea up what to buy so can't start early with him.

Youngest will be 7 and still likes toys so everything already bought is for him.

Usually I'd have looooads away by now.

SpecialStuff · 12/05/2014 22:41

I'm in! Not bought anything yet but I've been thinking I should start. The twitch starts earlier every year!

SpecialStuff · 12/05/2014 23:11

Not Christmas but I've now just bought my nieces birthday presents in the HoF sale. It's not till august!

dandelionsRflowers · 13/05/2014 08:48

I've been lurking on the end of the old thread. Just posting to say I found my finger lights yesterday, I thought I'd thrown them away by accident in December. I did a little dance with them on I was very happy. I'm saving them for dd to wear on holiday.

glenthebattleostrich · 13/05/2014 11:47

Some good bargains in the debenhams toy sale.

Plus extra 10% off if you spend £50 or more before Sunday 18th with code NJ72, Debenhams sent me this on a leaflet.

Bloody book people. Every time I go to buy the roald dahl audio collection it's out of stock. DS needs this. He doesn't know he does but he really does!

notamonkeysuncle · 13/05/2014 12:26

If anyone is doing hampers etc, Aldi has various chutneys reduced to 79p and they BB date was 2016

HopefulHamster · 13/05/2014 12:58

Placemarking as I'll be on mat leave this Dec so need to save the pennies while I can!

CheeryName · 13/05/2014 13:20

Ooooh I didn't know Debenhams had a sale on! Have lots of gift vouchers I've been saving. Thankyou glenthebattleostrich :)

ChubbyKitty · 13/05/2014 15:06

Have to leave for work now but I'm marking my place for later Smile

Some lovely lists are going to be written tonight. I might even by a new notebook when I finish. mmmmSmile

cheekycherryza · 13/05/2014 15:15

oooh finger lights? Where do I find these?

nickdrakeslovechild · 13/05/2014 15:24

TheNightIsDark It's worth ringing them up. I did it last year when something said OOS. They sometimes do have it in stock but when only a few are left the website stops selling it.

xalyssx · 13/05/2014 15:45

Yay I love this thread

Tinkerisdead · 13/05/2014 16:02

Disney cinderella game is about 17.00 in some places dropped to 5.50 on amazon

TheNightIsDark · 13/05/2014 17:55

House of Fraser have some good deals in their toy clearance. Barbies for £3.50, Ariel and Eric dolls for £9.99 etc.

CallingAllEngels · 13/05/2014 18:01

I've just found a present I bought for my mum last Christmas stashed in the back of my wardrobe Blush
