For some unknown reason I just found myself searching for Funfax on amazon. why are they no longer made, they were AWESOME! Obviously there are old used ones but a lot of the fun was deciding in the shop what one I would get...

What nostalgic toys would you share with your DCs if they were still available?

Loved my funfax! I remember a friend whispering to me she had got me one for my upcoming birthday and being soooo excited.

My favourite bath toy was called Diver Dan, a little man that dived off a platform if you filled it up with water. Selling for mega £££ on eBay now! Loved my fisher price wind up 'teddy bears picnic' music box. And sylvanian families - I always wanted the windmill or the barge. I also collected animals of farthing wood magazines! Oh and little toy animals (rabbits and hamsters) that were hand-sized and vibrated?!

I also remember a friend having a game called Atmosfear that came with a video that I thought was really

I also remember a random toy that you could make jelly sweets with (like jelly worms)...I can still remember the (nasty!) taste of them!

I vaguley remember Atmosphere - I think my friends older sister had it
but it was too scary for us?

Also loved my fisher price teddy bears picnic wind up tv Smile

The Big Red Funbus!

Webby Webster? Some kind of spiderweb play set with you spiders. Or am I making this up?

I had a Keeper too, I loved it! They had little hairbrushes so you could brush the erm, snail (?) 's hair.

I was a tomboy as I had micro machines, connectables ( the cars that you could break into halves then connect in different pairs) and transformers that actually transformed without falling apart! I also had a swan secret keeper and a smelly strawberry shortcake doll that is still at my mums house and still smells! Blush

HandragsNGladbags · 20/11/2013 22:50

Can't remember what it was called but it was like a typewriter\ office in a plastic box (think it was yellow & red). There was a dial in the middle that you had to turn to point to the letter you wanted and the press the key so took ages to write anything.

Ther were other office things in it & you could close it all up in the case it came in & carry it with you. I thought I was so grown up & loved it. Anyone else know what it was called?

I had a toy engine that ran on real paraffin Shock
My favourite toy was my tiny tears doll.
I also loved my rollerskates, spirograph and washing machine. It was a perfect replica toy with a mangle that I could put my dolls clothes through.
My dad made me a tiny clothes horse and ironing board. I still love doing the laundry ! Smile

Mm I vaguely remember the typewriter thing (and I'm very old!) so please can somebody tell me what funfax was? I had boys so no Pippa dolls or Tressy etc. They used to have scalectrix, Beano and Dandy Annuals, board games (can't remember their names) oh yes one was Soccer Manager. My eldest son was football mad so there was always a football, a Soccer Annual, a mug with his team on, and the Away strip.

Oh yes I remember my nieces have Tiny Tears.

When I was a kid in the 50's we didn't have a great deal but I loved those cardboard dolls with clothes that you cut out and had little tabs on. One of my grand-daughters now has very fancy ones where the clothes are magnetic but she isn't much bothered with them. I loved drawing books and always a pack of coloured pencils - simple pleasures!

I had a magic set I loved with a magic wand that had secret string or something attached to it so you could do tricks with it.

I remember the paper girls, brandnewmamma. As I remember them, they came in 70s girls' comics (like Sandie and Tammy) and you could colour in the clothes and cut them out. Hours of fun. Well, OK, maybe more like minutes because they weren't exactly built to last.

I remember the board game that came with the big ass chunky mobile phone and it was all about dating??

Shoutymomma · 21/11/2013 21:16

I wanted Stretch Armstrong.
