What would you like for Christmas that unfortunately is impossible...

When I was 3 years old at a party I was given a packet of Dolly Mix. I remember how delicious it was even from then. However, my mum explained afterwards that I can't have it again as it contains gelatine and I could only eat vegetarian sweets.

Every year since then I have always asked/searched for vegetarian dolly mix but I have never found any :(

Is there anything you'd like for Christmas but can't have it?

To be pregnant. Never going to happen. Sad

BigBadWolefPlum · 09/11/2013 18:33

I was going to comment that i'd like them quickly to invent a pain free labour, but after reading the posters hopes for a baby, or parents to be alive or dh to be home, I am just very grateful fr what I have :)

IAlwaysThought · 09/11/2013 18:48

Sorry, mine is a bit frivolous but it's the first thing I though of..

I would like two already house trained kittens Grin

I wish everyone could have what they wanted.

MARGUERITE18 · 09/11/2013 19:06

I would like our dog to be behaved and a holiday to florida

SolidGold · 09/11/2013 19:08

A permanent job for dh, but sadly it seems impossible Hmm

Ihatespiders · 09/11/2013 19:13

A permanent job.

DC's bullies to leave the area.

And all the household jobs done by a helpful fairy.

EstoyAqui · 09/11/2013 19:17

I'd like for my children to experience A Christmas my nan used to give me as a child. She loved Christmas and always had little treats set up that made it extra special.

Scrap that, I'd just like a hug from my nan. :(

NoComet · 09/11/2013 19:17

I'd like the house fairy

The DDs to have Christmas Day just once with Granny (my Christmas mad, wonderful, eccentric DMIL died before DD2 was born)

I'd like my parents health problems to disappear.

DearDinah · 09/11/2013 19:20

DMIL's cancer to be taken away or if not more time to be added to her life & to be pregnant so she gets to meet her grandchild

Twunk · 09/11/2013 19:20

I'd like my son to not be facing 18 months more treatment for leukaemia and similar for my friends on the children with cancer thread.

I'd love to be in England with my family but it's not possible this year. But my parents are coming to us! I just hope DS stays well and we are all at home!

marriedinwhiteisback · 09/11/2013 19:27

I can have anything really, within reason, that money can buy.

But what I'd really like is for DS2 to have lived (he would be 16 now), to have three children rather than two and for my dad to have been round for long enough to see them grow up into the lovely things that the two I have have grown into.

Twunk · 09/11/2013 19:28

On a lighter note, I'd love a pair of high heels I can wear! Or just be able to magically wear the ones I have again Smile

NationMcKinley · 09/11/2013 19:32

I'd like a time machine and a new pair of lungs for a lovely patient of mine. And 12 hours sleep Smile

normaleggy · 09/11/2013 19:33

Someone special to keep me company in the evenings, to give me a cuddle at night and to make me a cup of tea in the morning.

4lovelychildren · 09/11/2013 19:34

For the 4 children I know who have lost their mum/dad in the last month (2 separate families) to have them back! No child should grow up without one of their parents who have been taken cruelly early.

MissLurkalot · 09/11/2013 19:38

I wish both my parents were alive... They gave me the best childhood Christmas memories. My mission is life is to give my four children the best childhood memories, especially Christmas. Xx

YomAsalYomBasal · 09/11/2013 19:42

I would like my poorly DC to outlive me, like all children should. That's not going to happen.
But on a lighter note, I'd like my paperwork mountain to disappear!

HyvaPaiva · 09/11/2013 19:43

OP, I found these halal dolly mixtures that will be gelatine-free. Will they work for you? Hope so!

Smile
dinnaementiontheprunes · 09/11/2013 19:43

I'd like Christmas 2004 again. It was one of the best days of my life. Nothing major happened, it was just one of those days where everything was happy.
I'd like happiness all round. Lots of it. It's all a bit stressy lately [understatement]

ihatethecold · 09/11/2013 19:44

To see my grandchildren.
And my eldest son, I miss them a lot.

supermariossister · 09/11/2013 19:57

I'd like one more Christmas with my beautiful mum. I'd give anything for that

Same as supermarioq.

FlatCapAndAWhippet · 09/11/2013 20:18

I'd like to have my Mum back, I miss her so much.

I wish she'd lived long enough to know that things turned out well for me and I got my so longed for child, I wish that so much. :(

omuwalamulungi · 09/11/2013 20:26

Christmas with my boyfriend since it's our baby boys first one. We're not in the same country and won't be for another 2 months. :(

Plus Christmas with my grandma, she died just before I found out I was pregnant and I often think he would have kept her going.
