Just did a dry run on bunches without finalising the order and it seemed to work - it's free first class delivery though that should be there in time?

SantasWearingHisTrampyPants · 19/12/2012 22:27

I paid del too, got the med size and cost £10.80 del

starjules · 19/12/2012 22:29

I am not getting an option for free first class delivery. Damn it I am too tired now I'm off to bed. The thought was there!

rhondajean · 19/12/2012 22:30

Are you all on bunches or the other flower site?

zipzap · 19/12/2012 22:33

Glad to know I'm not the only one starjules!

And rhondajean - I did a dry run order - in fact I have now done several. By post, not by post, bunches, from the 'special offer free delivery page' and a couple of just random ones. And yet none of them have a post option - just two courier options. Did you actually see an option on that first checkout page that said 'standard' or first class or whatever that showed up as free?

I have also tried their online help - which implied it was online chat but actually it directs it to an email system, that comes back with an automated email to say it has been submitted but that they are experiencing high volumes of questions (probably because of all the people wondering where the free delivery option is!) and it could be some time before they get to you cheapskates. hmm.

If you use a cashback thing like quidco it is worth checking that too - I use one that I get access to through dh's work and it's offering 13% back on iFlorist so if I do manage to get free delivery sorted I'll be getting an even better deal!

SantasWearingHisTrampyPants · 19/12/2012 22:35

I was on iflorist.

zipzap · 19/12/2012 22:35

I'm on the iflorist site - I had a look at the bunches site but was a bit underwhelmed by it, all a bit overpowering and full on but dated. Thought the flowers looked nicer on the iflorist site so have reverted to it to try to get that to work. might just give in and pay delivery soon so I can go to bed too!

rhondajean · 19/12/2012 22:35

Yep it came up as free royal mail first class delivery.

It's also showing. Delivery £0.00 on the summary page.

rhondajean · 19/12/2012 22:36

Delivery: Friday 21st December by Royal Mail 1st Class Post £0.00 Change Delivery & Message

Thats a cut and paste.

zipzap · 19/12/2012 22:50

That's really frustrating. Really glad that you've made it work RhondaJean - but that kind of makes it worse now as I know that it can be done somehow so will be trying to find it rather than give up!

hmmm. will try again...

SantasWearingHisTrampyPants · 19/12/2012 22:54

Tbh, I quite like the thought of them arriving by courier. It'll be a nice surprise.

zipzap · 19/12/2012 23:28

Arrgh. Have just sussed it.

Gave up and ordered them with the cheap courier delivery.

Then wondered about sending my sis a little bunch just as a cheer her up thing. Went through to the first checkout page and low and behold - postal option available. Then realised that I hadn't put in the code.

Put the code in and abracadabra - free postal option disappears. Seems that one hand gives and the other takes away!

At least I can now rest happy that actually what they are doing is giving you £2.10 off your order really rather than a fiver!

And that has taken me an hour of messing around when I have so much other stuff to do. Should have just done it and got on with other stuff really but more fun sitting here than tidying up for christmas! Xmas Grin

SantasWearingHisTrampyPants · 19/12/2012 23:36

Ahhhh, that's cool then.

iloveholidays · 20/12/2012 10:45

In theory I've just received my timetospa order (nearly 2 months after ordering), however they've stupidly sent the wrong thing - moisturiser rather than shower scrub!! ARGH!

I've just sent a very stroppy email although no doubt it'll take another month to get a response.

MooseyMoo · 20/12/2012 11:26

Blimey ilove that's taken ages. They'll be on the blacklist from now on!

In case anyone is looking for a christmas DVD, I bought The Ultimate Mickey Mouse DVD which has three films on (all have short stories which my 2.7 is really enjoying). The films are Mickey's Magical Christmas, Once Upon a Christmas, and Twice a upon a Christmas. £5 in store at Sainsburys and you earn 300 points for the Disney Movie Rewards.

reastie · 20/12/2012 11:30

If anyones interested the jojo maman bebe sale has just started - got DD for next winter a polar fleece all in one, mathcing hat, scarf, wellie warmer socks and gloves for around the cost of just the all in one when not in sale. Resale value of polarfleece items on ebay is good and DD has had her current one for 2 winters and it's great for keeping her warm and washes very well can you tell I'm a fan of polarfleece Blush . They do have some lovely clothes reduced too.

OhTheConfusion · 20/12/2012 13:32

Thanks for all the photo advice Flowers

Sadly the baby has a bug and the cold so the poor soul is in no mood to have her pic taken. Will book a more reputable shoot in the spring... just mad as we had lots of gorgeous pics in the autumn leaves Sad

Have got a few vouchers for afternoon tea and sent bunches of the flower deal (lovely christmas ones!) instead. Thanks again.

zipzap · 20/12/2012 15:49

If anyone ordered stuff from MandM Direct - double check it carefully.

I did an order a while ago and spotted immediately that they had one tshirt wrong (it was for ds1 (7) and it was white instead of the blue one I'd ordered; was a glitch in their system) so quickly checked the other stuff was all there, rang up and complained and they had sold out of the one I wanted so managed to get one that was OK but not ideal that they sent out to me as a replacement.

I've just come to wrap the other one up now as it was a present and to my horror discovered they sent the wrong bloody one. And it mattered - it was an olympic one, the person it's for competed in the sport I chose and they have sent a different one. arrgh. And whilst I rang up the lady to complain and sort it out and she was really nice, the right size wasn't in stock any more so I was going to get the next size up. And some sod came and ordered the entire lot that was left while she was on the phone to me so in that critical minute or two the remaining 33 left in stock were sold :-( very unhappy. wish they could slip a wrong one into that order and let me have just one of them!

sorry, just venting.

Good news is that they are now giving christmas trees away for free at ikea - take as many as you want. They are asking for a donation to their UNICEF kids charity but it's not compulsory.

reastie · 20/12/2012 16:26
