Oh yes bringus that's true - I got melissa and doug stuff on the amazon deals in the loft for DD next christmas/birthday too - I'm more organised than I think Wink

I'm getting very itchy with some deliveries for DDs presents from hermes - there are about 6 parcels ( Blush ) and they have had 3 days - 2 weeks to arrive. One came last week after 2 weeks since dispatched. Has anyone else experienced this with hermes? I'm getting worried about DDs presents coming in time! I was in pretty much all last week and the week before so I know they didn't try delivering then.

HoHoHokeyCokeyPigInAPokey · 18/12/2012 13:57

Loads of bits half price in M&S, gifts, decorations, wrap, card, even mugs, plates ect

Allyblaster · 18/12/2012 15:57

Am finally done! Thanks to all who have contributed I am more organised than ever despite flu hampering preparations in the last two weeks! Same time, same place next year?! Xmas Smile

DoubleMum · 18/12/2012 16:06

I've got a parcel somewhere at Hermes, ebay seller tracked it and it arrived at the depot 6 days ago. Apparently Hermes say it should be with me by the end of the week. I certainly wouldn't be inclined to give Hermes any of my money in future, the Christmas rush shouldn't exactly have been a surprise to them, should it?!

Loulousmummy · 18/12/2012 16:28

I've been gambling on amazon again sad I know but it costs me nothing unlike real gambling but is just as addictive Play Doh Candy Cyclone is down to £9.99, best I've seen. Free super saver delivery with Amazon Prime. I'm so happy as I was going to order it at £14.81 earlier but had to get dd from playgroup.

Oreocrumbs · 18/12/2012 16:39

I've just made my last online purchase for this Christmas! I'm a bit Xmas Sad now. Mind you, I have to wrap the buggers yet!

I'm going shopping in the real world tomorrow to get some last minute bits and then that is that.

What will I do with my time and money now? Will I have to interact with my family? Xmas Confused.

So......

....Is it too early to start for next year?

LaTrucha · 18/12/2012 17:30

Yes Oreo, it is......

But only because you're going to find all my Lego for me next year Xmas Wink.

Happy Christmas!

reastie · 18/12/2012 17:50

Grin to all this talk of next year and Thanks for all the help on this thread for everything - I think I've got some particularly nice Christmas presents for everyone this year and if they don't like them I'm keeping them for myself . Same place next year then ladies?! Wink

double that doesn't fill me with excitement re: your hermes experience too. As long as it comes for Christmas it's fine, but 2 weeks ago one of the parcels has been dispatched

OP posts:
zipzap · 18/12/2012 18:31

Email has just come out from Toys R Us - another flash sale on now again, online only. Typically 25-50% off, couple of things with 60% off.

best bit though is that they are also offering free delivery from now until midday tomorrow (weds). I assume that the free delivery is for everything on the site rather than just the offer stuff but don't hold me to that, I haven't look at it hard.

SantasWearingHisTrampyPants · 18/12/2012 18:35

theres always the january sales... Xmas Wink

Heavywheezing · 18/12/2012 19:41

SantasWearingHisTrampyPants · 18/12/2012 19:57

janx · 19/12/2012 09:58

Has anyone seen any Octonauts stock fillers?

ItsIgginningToLookALotLikeXmas · 19/12/2012 10:10

Hello, (MistressIggi here) well I thought I had everything bought a couple of threads ago, but today ds announces he's getting a Man U football strip from Santa - apparently DH "promised" him. Ah, but did he do anything about it or tell the person who's done all the shopping? Angry
Anyone know any shops that sell them (5 year old) since I'd be pushing it to get one online now - Amazon don't seem to have any and they are the fastest. Doesn't have to be latest one, he doesn't have a clue!

milkymocha · 19/12/2012 10:27

itsigging SportsDirect have the full kit in 4-5y for £28! Smile

ItsIgginningToLookALotLikeXmas · 19/12/2012 10:36

Milky thanks so much for that, I know nothing of sports shops, but I see there are several of those one near where I live - can't believe I have to find almost another 30 quid though! (will take it out of DH's pocket money I think!)
Thanks again - such a quick response! Thanks

MooseyMoo · 19/12/2012 11:38

janx Sainsburys have half price on the Octonauts plush toys. Pesco, Barnacles and shit, what's the cat called .... quasi for £5.

MooseyMoo · 19/12/2012 11:41

Thanks reastie for starting these threads. I loved finding bargains and sharing my finds. I think the best ones were Molton Brown, Body Shop glitch, Bangzo and the Boden glitch. Definitely same time next year Xmas Smile

I've already started on DD's bday presents as well (May bday!)

Oreocrumbs · 19/12/2012 14:34

Not online, but I've been out real life shopping and there are some good last minute deals.

Marks has half price crackers, wrapping paper, cards etc. Bits like christmas pot pouri and decorations too.

Ikea are selling off the real trees for £1!!

Marks also has buy one get one half price on their perfume, and half price gift sets. The one I was in is a really big store (metrocentre), and I didn't know untill today they have a big beauty shop now, selling brands too. They had lots of deals on.

Body shop has lots of offers, and disney store had reduced their mugs. I didn't go into many shops - I was trying to be focused, and control DD, but everywhere seemed to have something on offer.

The pound shop had lots of christmas stuff left, I got some make your own felt decorations to go into the stockings, and 3 for £2 on small cadburys selection boxes for me.

Also got this from the works for £15 for DP, its a really nice quality book, would probably be £40 in waterstones.

And I'm finished! Off to Asda to pick up some stuff I ordered and have to wait for a dvd and a calendar arriving in the post, and that's my lot!

It's been great fun, I'll see you all next year Xmas Grin.
