So the spreadsheets have been completed, the matches have gone out, all is done. Gin

We're all waiting with bated breath. If you're a recipient and you'd like to pop back on here when your gift arrives to thank your donor then do remember to look out for your MN code which will have been included in the address on the packaging and include it in your post. The person who sent the gift will then be able to know it's you.

If anyone has any questions about anything to do with the Mumsnet Christmas Appeal then do please email [email protected].

Ho Ho Ho!

MN109

I'm so glad it got to you ok - I really am sorry that it was such a small thing. It wasn't at all what I had planned but between the kids and I we've been knocked off our feet the last couple of weeks with flu.

I got into a bit of a panic lastnight and ordered online as I don't know when I will make it to the shops or post office.

I'm so sorry that there wasn't even a message in there, I thought I might be able to write one in but couldn't see where. I didn't want you to think you'd been forgotten.

I hope you have a lovely lovely christmas and a wonderful 2013 Xmas Smile

Sorry for it not being more organised and special Blush

SS200 Yes, it came last Sat, see post Sat @22.47pm I sent you a message from my sick bed! You have no idea how it made my day, I had been on the bathroom floor all night with this Norovirus, I am still feeling unwell. I couldn`t believe it when I saw what you had given to me, unbelievably kind as I am a total stranger to you. Have we ever crossed threads on here? As you can tell by my name I am always to be found on the multiple births topic! It has been a horrible year, I lost my lovely Mum in July after she developed gangrene in her foot, it was so awful to watch her deteriorate, whilst she was in hospital my dh was hospital having a lung tumour removed. Lots of other things....................but, your kindness has really made the end of this year a much happier one. Thank you, thank you so much and a wonderful Christmas to you and yours. xx

May I also say a huge bashful thank you to the person who nominated me. xx

Ok, better late than never...

Finally got my parcel to the post office today. So, someone out there who's starting to sadly wonder, 'where's mine?', it's on it's way.Smile

Hello MN109! I finally managed to post the parcel today, the post office was closed last Wednesday so today was the second chance I got to post :) It's been posted on some 48 hours service so you should receive it on Thursday I hope!

I hope I don't come across as some grasping old baggage, but having read this thread again today, I asked MNHQ if they would give me my recipient number, so I could explain in case anybody is anxiously waiting to see if their package has arrived, that no, it hasn't, and if somebody lovely is feeling disappointed that they posted something awhile ago with no acknowledgement, it truly isn't because I'm ungrateful or don't care! I was just so touched to be nominated. Anyway, I thought I'd better post in case the sender was wondering, but hopefully they are just busy and haven't managed to get to the post office yet.

Merry Christmas everybody, this is a lovely thread to read Thanks

To the fantastic Parisienne and the other mumsnetter who sent their parcels to me this week, I say thank you so much!

You didn't put your numbers on there, but hopefully you know who you are - I can't believe after the first parcel I got that there was more to come and I am so grateful and somewhat shamefaced that I've got such great parcels, but they've really made my day!

Explaining to DH what it's all about was funny, and he has much respect for MN now, not that he didn't before or owt...

So, one parcel was from France and had a Christmas card of a knitted santa on the front saying ho ho ho.

The other parcel was accompanied by a really gorgeous Madonna and Child.

Thank you so much. I hope you see this message.

Its so lovely reading this thread. Just hoping my pressie has turned up safely. I know that the post takes a bit longer than expected at this time of year so thats probably why people are anxiously checking. I posted another parcel at the same time as my SS one and that took 3 days to arrive, not the 'guaranteed next day' that the Post office promised Hmm

Hello triplets!

Sorry, I completely missed your other post (I wasn't fishing for thanks, honestly I'm just usually crap at these sorts of things and was worried I had sent it to Finland or something). Xmas Grin

I'm happy you liked your gifts and hope you have a really, really wonderful Christmas. You and your family truly deserve it.

Your children are beautiful btw.

I've been trying to be open to the idea that, despite being nominated, I might not get anything. Just so as not to be too disappointed, y'know... It's been a pretty stressful six months and I'm really not looking forward to the next month at all.

But I received a parcel to The MNer of the House today and have taken a peek inside. I am so touched - and overwhelmed! Are they all for me?!? So many presents! I looked inside one of the small ones and it's just lovely. I'm saving the rest - maybe Christmas Day, maybe not, see when I need a boost.

Thank you thank you thank you. So much. To my nominater as well as my donator. It's so nice to have been thought of.

I will post again when I have opened them, if there is still a thread to post on!
