Last year I started the tradition of new pj's at Christmas....was an idea I got from MNers, seems a lot of you do this.
So...where can I buy lovely pj's from? Last year's were BabyGap....any ideas?

Thank you

Omg ! Was commenting on something else & found this !! We have the same tradition too !!!!! Try moochicbaby.com, I'm getting them from here second year in a row. The'yre awesome ! Cotton, machine washable and the kids love the prints, DN based her classwork, write a creative on those !!

WhatWouldLeoDo · 17/09/2011 14:08

I was in Boots today - they've got their children's christmas pi's in (and they're on 3 for 2).

lucjam · 17/09/2011 17:14

We have new pj's every xmas eve too along with dressing gown and slippers (every other year, I buy big cos I'm too tight to buy every year!!). We go to the xmas eve service at church (DD will be Mary this year, eeeekkk very exciting, their is a hierarchy you see, anyway I digress) and FC delivers them whilst we are out. Primark and Matalan are great IMO, got M and S last year for DD and the stitching all came undone :-(

M&S P.J's for dc's never seem to get good reviews, your not the first person on mnet to make that comment.

SilveryMoon · 17/09/2011 18:22

I have always bought myself a pair of christmas pj's.
I am loving the hamper idea though and am definitely going to do that this year.
Ds's are 2 and 4, so perfect time to start a new tradition.

EssentialFattyAcid · 17/09/2011 20:19

Cotton PJs from Primark are where its at

blondieminx · 18/09/2011 01:18

just been on the Boots website - the 3for2 offer mentioned upthread doesn't seem to be available online (so far) :(

WhatWouldLeoDo · 18/09/2011 09:05

That's a shame blondiemix. They were definitely on 3 for 2 instore - they were starting to put out all the Christmas 3 for 2 stuff.

TeddyBare · 18/09/2011 09:10

Are you any good at sewing? You're organising so far in advance that you'd have plenty of time to make something individual to your dc.
I've decided to make Christmas PJs this year. There is a lovely pattern in this book: www.amazon.co.uk/Growing-Up-Sew-Liberated-Handmade/dp/1596681624/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1316333305&sr=8-1 and you can get loads of lovely fabrics online. I'm getting mine from here: www.spoonflower.com/welcome.

Becaroooo · 18/09/2011 09:14

NEXT have fantastic PJs...they are really soft and last for AGES.

Dont rate M&S ones at all...knees were out of ds1's within 3 weeks!

Must have a look at John Lewis Smile

BuckBuckMcFate · 18/09/2011 09:15

We do the hamper here too.

What you need are some jingly bells. While they are in the bath one of us shakes the bells and we do very hammy 'did you hear that?' Then all out of the bath and their pjs are wrapped up on their beds. Cue much squealing!

Then downstairs to the hamper.

We also have a magic father Christmas key that we hang over the front door handle as my pedantic children pointed out that the chimney has in fact been blocked up.

One word of warning, you will be over run with Christmas mugs.

And don't be tempted by musical ones. I am still being serenaded by jingle bells every time I open the cupboard door. (luckily it stops again as soon as it's closed or they would've been binned in February)

oldraver · 19/09/2011 13:28

I've just bought these for DS, not Christmassy but he is going to love them

Ismeyes · 19/09/2011 19:35

I am doing a hamper for DD this year, looking forward to making her some snowman soup! We put edible (cake decorating) glitter in it too, which she just loves.

I would really love to get her a traditional white embroidered nightdress this year, does anyone have any recommendations of where to get one from? I'm happy to pay up to £25 at a push.

oldraver · 20/09/2011 12:23

Ismeyes.... you need to look for Powell Craft the same make as I previously linked to.... will try and find some links for you

YouHaveNoPowerOverMe · 21/09/2011 19:49

Got some at Boots today on a 3 for 2 offer. And some xmassy socks.

poeia · 21/09/2011 20:17

Have seen some nice ones in The Little White Company but they are bloomin' expensive so not sure..

Definitely getting a hamper going this year too...been thinking about good Christmassy dvd's - any ideas?? My fave is Elf, anyone else?

I found some fab PJs last year for gifts for my nieces on the Snugg website, very excited to get some for Polly this year. I find the Hatley brand especially long lasting and love these Rudolf slippers too!

Pleased to report that Primark's PJ's are in - got penguin print flannel for me £6 and sparkly fairy print for DD £4. Still looking for bargain ones for DH tho....

onehellofaride · 05/10/2011 10:43

I am going at lunch time to get the DC's PJs from Boots. I am getting DS the soldier ones with the matching slippers/socks and stripy dressing gown. DD is having the penguin ones with matching slippers/socks and spotty dressing gown and DSS is having the reindeer ones with matching slippers/socks and stripy dressing gown. I plan to buy all the dressing gowns in one transaction, then all the PJs and then all the socks so that I make the most of the 3 for 2 offer. It would work out at £96 but I will get it all for £64. Don't think that's too bad for 9 items!

Kingsroadie · 05/10/2011 17:58

Ooh so excited to have discovered the Christmas topic - am actually the most ridiculously excited person about Christmas! Grin

Poeia - we have White Company PJs and have had them nearly a year. They are still going strong - wash well and tumble dry too. Worth the money in my opinion!
