6 months old boy has an older brother (the 2 and a half year old) so won't need clothes, I don't think.

My 6 year old loves Lego, Playmobil, just recently into Transformers, and anything Harry Potter related.

Lego is a big hit with my ds (7).

What budget?

I agree with Lego Duplo for 2& a half yo. Early Learning Centre Happyland is good too.

7 yo - Lego Star Wars / Atlantis / Power Miners.

oh definately lego, keeps any child amused for hours.

Around a tenner each, I think. 7 year old has already got lots of Lego and Playmobil.

My 2.5yo loves cars and trains. Oh, and lorries and buses.
He has a little remote control car which he adores - a bit like this.

7 yr old - Magnetix (or the much cheaper compatible brands), Lego, Airfix, baking stuff is good too, if you can find a set that's not overly pink.

2.5 sticklebricks, playdough, wooden trains

6 months - board books

6 Months - board book, DS LOVED "Orange Bear Apple PEar" by Emily Gravett at that age.

2 years - Happyland or Little People stuff. Bob the Builder figures. Mine adores (sleeps with) his Happy Land digger.

7 - Lego. Can never have too much Lego.

Can you still buy Sticklebricks? I used to love those!

Have done baking stuff for the 7 year old before but did wonder about doing something baking-ish for the 2 and a half year old - just some squeezy icing and some sprinkles etc, in a bowl with a wooden spoon and maybe a chef's hat, if I can find one. What do you think?

If you do not have much to spend a wind-up torch is great for little boys. They cost about a fiver.

For the 7 year old an excavation set whereby he digs carefully to discover dinosaur bones or jewels for the 2 year old something like sticklebricks or constructive toys from ELC the baby?? a special babys 1st xmas bauble and some matching bib or something that can be used for xmas memories.

My ds is 2.6 and is obsessed with toy story (hasn't seen the films yet, Santa will be bringing them, just sucked in by all the merchandise), jigsaws and duplo.

Boys are children too you know - they will enjoy lots of the same things your dds enjoy

I have teenage girls - I suspect that the things they like would not be appreciated by little boys tbh. GHDs boys? Kate Moss perfume mayhap?

You can get them in shops like 'home bargains' for about £5 or I found this online as an idea....bet amazon will have some.

buy them something noisy and non-educational, like the Ninja Wheely Bike (complete with noises!) DS4 was given recently...or books (aliens love underpants series is good for boys and girls).

Anything with bubbles is a hit in this house. As are bath toys/bubbles/crayons.

Jammies for the 6mth old - jammies always look dog-eared by the time they handed down. And a nice bedtime book like No Matter What or I'll Love You Forever.
