I've bought my niece the Persian Cat family - cute !

GoodnightNobody · 07/11/2010 16:09

They were given the car & caravan last Christmas and loved it. Not sure what to buy this years, the Windmill or boat?

cece · 07/11/2010 16:11

MaryAnnSingleton · 07/11/2010 16:13

I WISH I was buying Sylvanian families for Xmas

Saw the motorbike and sidecar in JL and fell in love with it

Dont think sons 7 and 9 or dd 15 would appreciate however

nannynobnobs · 07/11/2010 16:20

They have a meerkat family now :o

cyb · 07/11/2010 16:23

I saw them! SO cute

PaulineMole · 07/11/2010 16:26

yes, have got persian cat family, and will be buying the caravan. DD loves the cats, but I prefer the hedgehogs.

unfitmother · 07/11/2010 16:32

I am, but not from here. Grin
They're a terrible company who shafted me. Angry

cece · 07/11/2010 17:06

DD has the canal boat, which is goo and the car and caravan, also good. What am I talking about it is all good! Smile

Meerkats you say?.... wonders off to see if she can find some...

ohforfoxsake · 07/11/2010 17:07

yes

SoMuchToBats · 07/11/2010 17:09

No, I have a ds who isn't into Sylvanians. He loves Playmobil though Grin

Mum72 · 07/11/2010 17:25

Yes for my 9yoDD who still loves them and plays with them pretty much all of the time.

Not sure what to get yet. She has an awful lot already. I am lookin at 2nd hand as well because you tend to get alot more "extras" for the money.

SE13Mummy · 07/11/2010 20:50

Yes, DD will have her 6th birthday at the end of this month and will be given a small house to accommodate the few rabbits she has. Grandparents are giving her the caravan and FC is bringing the car. Various other family members are going to give her bit and bobs of SF too.

The SF club membership is only £9.99 and includes two figures so is worth it for that alone. It also enables members to buy special sets/combinations at reasonable (ish!) prices.

MilaMae · 07/11/2010 21:09

I am but agonising over a home,if at all. DD has a wooden doll's house, does she really need a SF home?

Has anybody bought a house/home you can recommend?

cece · 07/11/2010 21:14

We currently have three. Blush

The other night the family moved house you know...

MilaMae · 07/11/2010 21:15

Which 3 have you got,wondering if it's the 3 I'm agonising over.

TheBolter · 07/11/2010 21:17

Canal boat rocks. (Metaphorically, not literally Grin)

Willow Hall is a good house as it has working lights and is not too expensive. Opens up at an angle which is a bit different.

MilaMae · 07/11/2010 21:18

Our poor mice have been booted out of the wooden doll's house by Polly Pocket. Apparently they're now homeless and really need a home of their own Hmm.

Apologies for the lack of correct punctuation below.

PatTheHammerHouseofHorror · 07/11/2010 21:21

I bought the windmill for my DD (4) whilst it was £50 in Argos. It comes with no furniture though, so not sure what to get as the sets look quite expensive. However I find our doll's house furntiture fits the figrues quite well so I may just get her to use that.

She wants the meerkat family and the caravan from my mum. We have the dentist/postman/nursery bus and country cottage and she plays with them LOADS.
DS is 22mths and he loves them too, he is really gentle with them and good with small bits (well.........he did eat a few Polly Pocket shoes last year but since then , nothing!)

MilaMae · 07/11/2010 21:22

Bolter is that now Beechwood Hall and is it a tad pokey, difficult to play with?

Beechwood is one of the 3 along with the treehouse(please god no,it's huge) and the one with the lightup fountain which I'm not keen on due to it not having many rooms in for the price ie you're paying for the fountain.

I like Hilltop Monor as I'm thinking it's easier to play with but it's not my house. Also I'm kind of thinking the wooden thing would do although it isn't really to scale.

PatTheHammerHouseofHorror · 07/11/2010 21:22

MilaMae- You seem to have the same battles for tenancy that we have, Polly pockets, wooden dolls and sylvanians sometimes end up living in a big happy commune!

TheBolter · 07/11/2010 21:27

Mila, yes it is now known as Beechwood Hall. It's a little awkward to play with I guess. However I think for around £50 it's quite a good buy when the Regency Hotel costs twice as much. Certainly a good introductory house anyway.

mememe30 · 07/11/2010 21:32

We got the windmill while it was 25% off in Argos. DD is going to love it. She is also getting the motorbike thing from my mum and the woodland bus from MIL. She has the Grand Hotel which she plays with all the time, and the caravan and the hospital and....... spoilt girl but she plays with it constantly
