I'm hoping the lovely mumsnetters can give me some inspiration for presents for my 2.6 yo son. What will you be buying or asking relatives to buy? We havent bought presents for ds in the past as we thought he would be too little to care and just took the glory for expensive toy kitchens bought by grandparents etc!

Need ideas for wish list and present from us.

DD 2.4 at Christmas:

Ikea play kitchen and some wooden food.

Possibly, an indoor trampoline.

Some books, dvd's and more Play-Doh.

I've been pretty organised throughout the year with sales and don't think I've paid full price for anything but this is what I have for ds:

Toy workbench
Mini slide
Tomy Big Loader
Playmobil pool and motorbike
Toddler rollerskates (eek!)
Some books
Ninky Nonk train
Toy microphone
Playdoh factory
Marble run (giant, non-eatable marbles)

My other son has got a money box and some squeaky eggs as he'll only be a few months old and won't have the foggiest what is going on.. Grin Next year it'll all be divided a bit more fairly so no questions are asked.

There is another thread about what people are getting their 2 1/2 year old so you might get more ideas on that.

Ds 2.4 is really into Peppa pig.
He is getting PP books and toys - rocket, aqua draw, miss rabbit crane, camper can and rubbish truck.
He's also getting so playmobil 123 sets, the ark and zoo.
Vtech slidey phone/email toy thing that he took a shine to in ToysRUs and a leapfrog scout laptop.

Imaginext. l have fallen a little in love with it, as it's very sturdy. DS will turn 3 the week before Christmas, but he played with someone else's in summer and loved it.

He also like his wooden railway (bigjigs), Thomas the Tank Engine and Fireman Sam.

DD is crazy about Cranky the Crane (from Thomas & Friends) and Duplo, so I spent several evenings on eBay trying to win a Duplo Cranky at a reasonable price of her. They're no longer on sale, but luckily there's loads available second hand.

She'll get some other stuff, but I'm pretty sure Cranky will be the show stopper for her. :)
