I love the beauty of some Christian art. I sense some of us have been in for a hard winter and cannot wait to see the dawing of Spring. Do share your favourite Christian art and keep in mind I would say that this is a forum and not a shrine.

I took the first photo at the Musee de Orsay in France when I went for a day trip in 2019.

The photo is titled
"Saint PhiliIppe Baptisant.and I have attached the information about the art as well at the gallery.

The Mark Cazalet art of Christ depicted
This is also one of my favourites by Mark Cazalet 1964. I saw it at church and took a photo of it. It speaks to me that Christ also perhaps went through torment in his life in the mind and overcame. On that level it really speaks to me as wel. The artist himself titled the art the Fool of Christ.

The Bloemart of the of the man kneeling and being baptised

Now to me seems to say speak the words receiving God.

This is my first post.

This shows me that the Lord brought light to world at just the age 12 years old around. When he left home to go and teach the elders and was remonstrated for it, his parents' were very concerned.

This is called the visitation-Ghirlandaio 1494. This was a meeting between Mary the Mother of Jesus and Elizabeth the Mother of John the Baptist. They were both with child when they met.

Thanks for sharing. The artwork, pics are wonderful, fascinating to look at.

The Lord's hands are reaching out to us, offering guidance. We are not alone and find comfort in him. Thanks.

Justmerach · 02/09/2025 19:48

I love hands and seeing the Lord behind the door. Jesus is the mediator the bridge to Holy Spirit which is pure light and divine. Jesus allows us to access that. Those who the spirit light are to bring light to world. I find them so beautiful.

Jesus is Found in the Temple-Carl Bloch

Mary Magdalene with Jesus-Noli me tangere Jacopo di Cione documented 1365

Piero di Cosimo (1462–1522
I like this art, it was Mary Magdalene who Jesus healed-In this picture it appears she looks Whole in the spirit and cured and complete and transformed through Christ.

Jesus and his disciples, I like this post resurrection and he was free and the look of a team solidarity he with them. It makes me feel reassured.
