Pinprick bruise rash.

I noticed a very small pin prick type bruise on DD's chest the other day, doesn't fade under pressure. Thought nothing of it as she was totally fine in herself.

Last night I woke up to her vomming, when I went in she had puked up loads of phlegm, half hour later she puked another small amount then slept until I woke her up to take DS to preschool, got to school she threw up some more thick goo, I've just got her undressed and she has a few more of these bruises. I've rang the doc and she has an appointment at 15:30.

I'm trying really hard not to google here, but from previous hypochondriac moments I remember unusual bruising being not very good.

I wouldn't go back to Gp for bloods, they need to be done on paediatric day unit where numbing cream can be applied and you can wait for the full blood count results. Then if anything flags up you are in the right place to get things moving.

I've been in your situation and have concluded that Gp's are actually there to prevent us accessing diagnostic tests and care.

Apologies to all good Gp's of which I'm sure there are many but my experiences have been pretty terrible and verging on negligent.
