Have you not got the booklet it comes with?

Which thermometer is it?

alibobins · 06/06/2010 17:35

No haven't got the book. Its just one from mothercare.
I've got an ear one but can't find it.
I know Ds1 has got a temp as he feels really hot its just he suffers alot with tonsilitis and his temp goes over 40 but at moment he's not showing any symptoms of a sore throat.

Ok I found this help.mothercare.com/resources/mothercare/products/Digital_Fever_Alert_Thermometer in the above notes and would maybe be a bit worried...?

waitingforbedtime · 06/06/2010 17:40

Yes what Pixie said, if his temp is that high you need to get him seen asap.

Definitely needs professional assessment.

Good luck, hope he is seen quick and isn't too poorly.

alibobins · 06/06/2010 17:43

My computer won't display any of the links.
Have given calpol and stripped him off he seems unwell but is still talking to me and drinking okay.

Thank you for all your advice yesterday.
We were seen straight away as his temp was still 41.2 he had full bloods took a urine sample and a canula put in just incase. The bloods showed infection but they didn't know where as his throat and chest were clear so sent us up to the children's ward. His temp went down to around 39 in the early hours of this morning.

This morning it was quite obvious that Ds1 has tonsilitis again his throat is all swollen and pussy they took swabs but allowed us home with penicillin and pain relief.

He is fast asleep now but is alot cooler. We have got to go back in if his temp goes and stays above 40.
