Daughter age 9 spotting blood

Hello!

Just came on here as today my daughter age 9 has been spotting bright red blood in knickers and pjs.

would this be spotting due to hormones? If this was her period starting (if I remember correctly years and years ago 🫣) it would come on very heavy with lots of blood like the beginning of period when coming on. I am really hoping it’s just spotting as I have heard this can happen year or 2 after spotting as she’s so young 🙁

I will obviously check how things are tomorrow and il find out I am sure. Just wanted some advice on it as I’m sitting here thinking and thinking!

she’s got a sanitary towel in right now xx

They come in different flow sizes. For heavy flow she may need to put a new pair on at dinner or she may be ok all day. They're washable too, might prefer to pre soak them though also they just look like knickers so hide if her friends haven't started ans the packs for younger kids often come with a little bag they can put used ones in to get it back to their school bag etc

If she’s 9 she needs to go to the doctors now. She might need hormones for precocious puberty

They don't class it as precocious unless they are under 7. I know because I panicked that dds chemo treatments were causing issues when she developed public hair at 7.

My daughter is 12 and started hers in the last year. They have been very irregular. I have bought her lots of pairs of wuka period pants and she prefers to just wear them pretty much all of the time so she doesn't have to worry if it starts unexpectedly.

@Tarnie23Hello! So that day when I messaged on here she had spotting, then the next day nothing, then she had more spotting day after that then nothing since? So strange. I called doctors to check in & they said wait until next month to see if happens again as if it does then it’s her period starting, but if she keeps randomly getting spotting then I need to book in to get her checked out but they said it’s more than likely her period getting ready to start! I got some period knickers from primark for her. Thanks for checking in ♥️x

My dds ,seventeen and 20, have worn these for years, since mid teens, and like them. We all use them. Loads of different options .
