Ever seen a rash like this!? (Child)

My 11 year old son has developed this rash on his chin. It isn't itchy or raised. I've never seen anything like it!
At first I thought it was due from some sweets he had after school, but it's now got worse and clearly isn't washing away!

Any ideas?

Hi! I know this thread is from a while back but I’m currently going through this with my 8 year old. He woke up this morning with a similar bruise that goes all along the bottom of his lip. It’s so strange. He’s very congested and coughs a bit but otherwise feels fine. Took him to his doctor this morning and he said it’s a Petichaie rash probably due to pressure on that spot while he slept. I’m a worrier so just wanted to see how it went for your son. Did it get better quickly after your post? Thanks!
